The cabinets were installed incorrectly from the beginning, despite the company being provided with all appliance specifications upfront. The biggest issue was the cabinet around the refrigerator/freezer, which was installed too shallow and too wide. > > The countertops were cut to match the cabinet layout that Premium Cabinets originally installed. When they later corrected the refrigerator/freezer cabinet so the appliance would fit properly, the cabinets no longer aligned with the countertops. This resulted in significant, very noticeable gaps where the countertops do not meet the cabinets, including gaps around the dishwasher area. > > They did attempt to fix some of the issues, but the work remains unfinished. They sent the wrong paint match, and when I tried to touch up one of the affected areas, it was immediately obvious that the color was way off and did not match the cabinets. Since then, they have stopped responding to my requests to receive the correct paint match, leaving the job incomplete. > > I have been trying for over six months to get these issues fully resolved. The lack of follow-through, poor communication, and extended timelines made this an extremely frustrating experience. Gary, Austin and Kaleb were great to work with. The installation was rough, due to my ceilings and floors being somewhat wonky...the installer, Kendall (from 918 Cabinet Install) and Gary and I worked together and formulated a plan. I chose to go with who they recommended for countertops, and they all work very well together! I just made sure I communicated with each section so they could stay on schedule, and everything was awesome! My kitchen had to be completely gutted and we did most of the work ourselves. Austin even helped me on weekends when we were trying to install the receptacles, I sent him pictures of a tape measure on the wall and asked him how high up we should put them to make sure it covered the built-in backsplash on our countertops. He answered right away, and they are perfect! It has now been over a year since Premium Cabinets took our money, and the job is still not finished. My guess is at this point it never will be, as the cost to them to correct and complete the mistakes they made exceeds the remaining balance due on the job, and although the long awaited parts arrived long ago, we have not heard from them in weeks. This company is totally dysfunctional and has critical problems from the top down. They arrived damaged, and missing some pieces including a couple of entire cabinets and accessory pieces missing. I've been trying for 3 months to get replacements and the owner said he's filed an insurance claim, but still no replacements. He did send me home with one corner cabinet which had not been shipped, but the carton had been written on with a Sharpie "missing f.f." (face frame) which was partially accurate no hardware, either. Having a difficult time now getting a response from Austin, the owner. I have been LED ON the entire time and they still can not execute this job. Austin has also verbally tried to claim what we agreed to is not what I will get because it was not explicitly written into the contract. This is a red flag and buyers should beware. Quality is acceptable so far but the lack of timeline is not. One star until they complete the job then I will update.
