> While we ultimately had to pause our project for personal reasons, I wanted to share that working with SnapADU was a truly exceptional experience. From start to finish, the team was organized, responsive, and clearly expert at what they do. Every step of the process was handled with professionalism and care, and I continue to be extremely impressed by their approach, top to bottom. Highly recommend them to anyone considering an ADU.

**★★★★★ — Zach Adamson, Sept. 2025**

> Actually cannot say enough amazing things about SnapADU. Not only did they build an incredible ADU, on-time and on budget where they went above and beyond on to help overcome unique site conditions, but now they continue exceed expectations 2 years later.
>
> I reached out and let them know that our water heater had rusted out and needed to be replaced. We had just passed our warranty period so it felt like we were going to have to pay for an entirely new water heater. Enter SnapADU stage left. The called and fought the water heater company, showing how their product was faulty. They got a free replacement water heater AND THEY COVERED THE FEES FOR INSTALL!!
>
> Honestly, if the world work more like SnapADU, it would be a better place. High integrity, always going above and beyond. Thank you SNAP FAM!

**Comment from Snap ADU:**

> Zach, thank you so much for sharing this experience! It's our pleasure to stand behind our build for you, and your kind words made our day!

**★★★★★ — Bob Dudley, Aug. 2025**

> We built a two bedroom two bath ADU with Snap on our historic University Heights property. They worked with me to make the ADU feel like it was a continuation of the front house (as much as the city planners would let us), so that the ADU basically became something close to getting at a guest house feel, which I wanted. Danielle and Sean were great at the end to get it over the goal line. They were helpful with details (like making the water heater fit ok) and finding some fine details errors (crack in the bathroom tile for instance). Just very nice and helpful. We had to pivot on some landscaping design and use of the property, but the whole process was pretty painless - pretty much no effort from me once the plans got settled and the finishes were picked. Just easy. And it came out really nice.

**Comment from Snap ADU:**

> Bob, thank you for taking the time to share this experience, so glad it felt easy! We loved working to bring your historic-inspired ADU to life... it turned out beautifully and we truly appreciate the trust you placed in us.

**★★★★★ — Mary Gay Pettit, Aug. 2025**

> The team at SnapADU was incredibly professional, patient, and kind every step of the way. We built our ADU in Encinitas from out of town, and they made what could have been a stressful process feel manageable and positive. We are truly grateful for their flexibility, communication, and top-notch work. Highly recommend!

**Comment from Snap ADU:**

> Mary Gay, thank you so much for sharing your experience! We love how your ADU turned out and truly appreciate you choosing to work with us to bring your vision to life.

**★★★★★ — Harry & Irene, July 2025**

> Working with SnapADU was truly a smooth and stress-free experience. From start to finish, the process was clearly laid out, and communication was consistent the entire way. We always knew what phase the project was in and what to expect next, which made the entire build feel very manageable.
> SnapADU took care of everything behind the scenes, so we didn’t have to stress about coordinating vendors or troubleshooting issues. Anytime something came up, they handled it quickly and kept us updated. That level of support made a huge difference for us as a young couple balancing work and life.
> Now that the ADU is complete, it’s going to be a game changer for our family. We’ll be able to stay close to loved ones while also having our own space to build our life together. We’re so glad we went this route, and we’re grateful to SnapADU for making it such a positive experience!

**★★★★★ — Sean Greenwell, Jan. 2025**

> I had the pleasure of working with SnapADU on a Feasibility Report, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the entire experience. From the start, the team was incredibly thorough, walking us through every detail of the project and taking the time to uncover potential challenges early on. They highlighted important factors like utility upgrades and grading, which could have easily turned into costly surprises later if we hadn't addressed them upfront.
>
> The process moved along at a perfect pace — not rushed but also without unnecessary delays. I always felt well-informed and supported, and any time I had a question or needed clarification, communication with their staff was prompt and clear. Their attention to detail really stood out, and it gave me the confidence to move forward with the project knowing that we'd accounted for all aspects of it.
>
> Thanks to SnapADU, we were able to save time and avoid additional expenses by understanding the full scope of the project before committing to plans and permits. I highly recommend their services to anyone looking to navigate the complexities of an ADU project — their expertise and dedication make all the difference.

> "Update Nov 2023: I wanted to give a shout-out to SnapADU for their exceptional after-sales support, more than two years after my build was complete. They went above and beyond to rectify an issue with the HVAC system in my basement, ensuring everything was running smoothly. Their dedication to ensuring my complete satisfaction, long after the initial project, was truly impressive. Not only did they resolve the problem but they helped bring the space back to standard with incredible finish work as shown."

**★★★★★ — Zeno Rausa, Nov. 2021**

> I just completed my first design-build home construction project in the form of an ADU and I wanted to recognize my General Contractor for their exceptional work. I interviewed 8 contractors and felt most comfortable with SnapADU because I felt Mike Moore’s word could be trusted. SnapADU completed my ADU in 2021 and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. Throughout the process, their team of personable, professional and dedicated employees and subcontractors helped me stay on budget, several times making helpful recommendations on substitutions I could make to keep costs down. The quality of workmanship was very high and I found all the subcontractors to be exceptionally competent. Ben Gagnon was my project lead and was very responsive. He made sure everything detail or concern was addressed to my satisfaction. I do want to personally highlight the framing lead, Jeremy Kirk, because of his expertise and intricate attention to detail. As you will see from the photos, this project was a custom fit with many unusual aspects. Jeremey impressed me enough to give him a by-name call out. I highly recommend SnapADU. When you make your decision to spend this kind of time, money and resources on a complex project you gotta know you have the right team on the job. SnapADU is team you want.

**★★★★★ — Paul Winter, Aug. 2021**

> SnapADU did such an awesome job building a 750 sqft ADU for my wife and I. The level service and the quality of work surpassed all of my expectations. I’m so glad there are still companies so focused with customer satisfaction. Thank you, to all from Snap who were involved in building the ADU. It was such a great experience.

**★★★★★ — paul winter, July 2021**

> October 2020, I inquired with Snap ADU about building a 750 sqft two bedroom ADU in my backyard. Honestly, I haven’t any construction expertise or any experience designing or having financed any construction in the past. To say the least I was brand new. It wasn’t a comfortable feeling spending a portion of my life savings with so many unknowns. The employees at Snap ADU clearly articulated the process in a very transparent way. They really answered all of my questions and made me comfortable with my decision. When the construction started, they worked every day possible, the sight was always safe and clean. Snap finished my ADU in a more than a reasonable amount of time. The project manager was always available and was very attentive to all of my needs. Snap built a beautiful high quality ADU. They did everything that said they would do plus more. Snap ADU exceeded ALL OF MY EXPECTATIONS!!!!!

**★★★★★ — Margaret Phelan, June 2020**

> Moore Construction remodeled my home a few years ago. Now during COVID, I have them back building an ADU in my back yard. I'm always impressed with their reliability and transparency. From Day 1, Mike was upfront with me about what to expect with the all-in costs and consistently follows through as promised.

## Community Q&A

**Q: floor?** *(in Photo Questions)*

is this LVP? color?

A: Correct, here is the link: https://www.msisurfaces.com/luxury-vinyl-planks/prescott/akadia/

**Q: What is the approximate construction cost on this 2 bdrm unit.** *(in Photo Questions)*

This looks really nice. What was the cost including g Foundation?

A: Thank you! A 2BR/2BA 1200 sqft unit (https://snapadu.com/plans/snapadu-2br-2ba-37x32-square/) would cost $320K for building itself, $15K for sitework on a typical lot, $7500 for construction drawings. Plus you would pay about $10/sqft in permits to the city

Note those build costs are factoring in all the lumber and other material price increases. We try to stay on top of that with our website pricing so there are not surprises by the time we go to build!
