### Reviews

**★★★★★ — Rashada, Jan. 2024**

> Sonrise Construction reworked the layout of home's main level and managed updates in refinishing part of our basement. The first project was quite involved as they installed new flooring, redid our kitchen and master bath. Their professionalism was quite a blessing as a project of this magnitude is quite an upheaval in the house.
>
> From the beginning, the Sonrise Construction team were courteous, on-time, and friendly. The project was completed on time and on budget and all hiccups in the process were handled quickly and attentively.
>
> Most importantly, we felt that the Sonrise team truly cared about the quality of work that they were bringing to our home in addition to the care for our family and comfort during the process. They went out of their way to make the stay in our home, while they were working, comfortable by adding a make-shift kitchen in the basement and re-installing cabinets that were being replaced from the renovated kitchen to the basement as well. The team helped move furniture and took pains to protect the furniture that had to remain on the premises during the renovation. The project manager was always visible and handled any problem that arose.
>
> We were exceptionally pleased and would recommend Sonrise again and again!

**★★★★★ — Vincent Long, Jan. 2024**

> You get what you pay for, with Sonrise Construction you get more. Sonrise built a garage addition to our home that appears to have been built as part of the house, not added twenty three years later. The quality of the build is terrific. We have had four houses built and with that experience we know of what we speak.

> This is your number one go to company for quality, professionalism, and the most personable group of workers on the planet! This company cares about all the details. They take great pride in their work. They bend over backswords to accommodate your requests.
> We could not have asked for a better team. You can not go wrong regardless of your project with this company. I plan to continue utilizing their services in the future. They are the best in the business!

**★★★★★ — Rangaswamy, July 2023**

> I am writing to highly recommend Sonrise Construction for their exceptional craftsmanship and dedication. Over 25 years ago, they built our home, which has been enjoyed by three generations of our family. The experience in 1992, working with Willy Miller and Sonrise Construction, was fantastic. Our beautiful home has stood the test of time, thanks to their expertise and quality work.
>
> Throughout the years, Sonrise Construction's attention to detail and commitment to using the finest materials have ensured that our home remains as sturdy and charming as the day it was built. The care and precision with which they constructed every aspect of our house have made it a place of comfort and cherished memories for our family.
>
> Not only did Sonrise Construction meet our expectations during the building process, but they also exceeded them by consistently providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns promptly. Their team's professionalism and reliability made the entire experience truly enjoyable.
>
> I wholeheartedly endorse Sonrise Construction for any construction project, as their commitment to excellence is evident in every aspect of their work. Thank you, Sonrise Construction, for building a home that my family has loved for so many years.

> I cannot express how thrilled I am with Sonrise Construction. They made my dream into a realty with the new addition of my quilting room, bathroom and laundry room. The carpentry work is outstanding with every small detail. They overcame many obstacles when adding the new addition with the old part of my house. Great family owned business that I highly recommend. I cannot wait for them to start transforming my old kitchen into a modern day beauty.
>
> They listened to what I wanted and made suggestions on how to improve on them. Very professional and work was completed on time. I have received so many compliments on my house and am proud to share Sonrise Constrution LLC to them. Connie

**★★★★★ — HU-982997909, Sept. 2021**

> I agree with all the other reviews on this website. Sonrise Construction work on the addition we had built and the remolding of the rest of our existing home was second to none. Our project turned out Great ! They are not only excellent workers but they are outstanding community minded people. Their employees and the contractors are also first rate. We will be using Sonrise in the future for any of our other construction projects ! Randy & Trina (sensitive information)

**★★★★★ — Mark Fraley, Oct. 2020**

> My wife and I contracted with Sonrise Construction to replace the old decks on the back of our house and to replace a couple of windows that were to be "temporary" when we built our house 20 years ago. There was some additional work as a result of replacing the windows including painting the living room and installing baseboard and window trim. From the first day to the last, the crews were professional and hard working. I enjoyed having casual conversation and a little humor with them all. As with most projects of this size some changes are often made as the work progresses. They were very receptive and willing to work with us on the modifications. They even suggested some that we had not considered and made the project even better than we envisioned. The work was completed in a timely manner, thanks, in part, to some beautiful fall weather. All of the work met or exceeded our expectations and we have had nothing but compliments from friends and family on the work performed. We would not hesitate to have additional work performed in the future.

**★★★★★ — Micah Fuchs, Oct. 2020**

> Sonrise construction was able to take our 20 year dream and turn it into a reality. Our home
> was built originally in 1972. With their commitment to excellence, eye for architectural design, and true craftsmanship our home has been transformed into a modern day home. What we love the most about our home is that it doesn’t look like a remodel, it looks like new home! Sonrise construction company was more than a contractor, they were partners in a shared vision. In the pre planning and planning phase they took the time to get to know us and learn about our interests, likes, and dislikes. Most importantly to me, their integrity and honesty can not be rivaled in the construction industry of today!

**★★★★★ — John and Mary Stewart, July 2020**

> Excellent is the word I’d use to best describe Sonrise Construction. The remodel of my Grandparents two hundred year old stone house has required knowledge, skill, vision and a fundamental understanding of construction. You can check off all those boxes with Sonrise.
> The Miller Family represents integrity and pride in every aspect of their profession. Virgil and Daniel’s guidance in providing options concerning product selection have made the end result stunning. Everyone involved in the remodel has conducted themselves in a friendly and professional manner.
> This project has been a major undertaking and we could not be more pleased with the way it is turning out.
> Thank you Sonrise!

**★★★★★ — Sheri Hartley, June 2020**

> They built our home 12 years ago and I remember the process and people very well. Ethical, honest, and they listen to you! My one request at the beginning of the interview process was that they’d return my phone calls and be there when they promised. So many companies don’t do that but SONRISE DID!!! You can trust them with your dream! Very pleasant people to have working for you. I’m about to call them for some remodeling work!

**★★★★★ — HU-111123682, May 2020**

> The entire Sonrise team was simply amazing to work with. They listened to our ideas and improved upon them. Their crews are all very respectful and highly skilled. The supervisors kept the lines of communication going at all times. The design and decorating folks were respectful of our wishes and offered by creative advice. The craftsmanship is first rate. Sonrise came highly recommended and they delivered outstanding results in time and in budget. I would recommend Sonrise to anyone. They are a blessing to all they serve.

## Community Q&A

**Q: My house is having a mid-life crisis** *(in Design Dilemma)*

My 1940’s house is having a midlife crisis. His exterior is tired and run down. It doesn’t reflect his fresh and modern interior. He wants a change. He as always secretly wanted to be a modern farmhouse. Help me help him live out his dream!

We will be getting new siding and roof this fall, and landscaping in the spring. I’ve been perusing Houzz and have fallen in love with several swoon worthy farmhouses. Is it unrealistic to think that our cape cod could become a farmhouse with a few tweaks? I am open to adding a portico or porch, any ideas for that? We would like to possibly add dormers eventually, but that won’t be for a while (though I feel like we need to decide that now so it will look good together in the end?). I was thinking of going with white board and batten siding. What are some other elements I can add to improve his look and add in some character? How do I make sure it doesn't end up a big boring white box? Or do I need a wake up call because this will never turn out looking right?! Be honest with me people!

Other notes:
\*We will be removing the garden window and replacing with a regular window.
\*We also need a front porch or stoop or something to replace the temporary one that is there.
\*Excuse our mess, we are finally wrapping up the last of the inside remodel!

My old man:

A few of many inspiration photos:

THANK YOU!!

A: I think your home has potential! The porch along the front with a shed roof and possibly a dormer would do wonders for your home. Also, would like to see a roof overhang on the front left gable or at the very least, a min. 6" frieze board following the roof line. I would be happy to draw this front elevation for you. All I would need is a few measurements and a few more pics. Cost would be roughly $200

**Q: Need help** *(in Photo Questions)*

Need help with a long living room. 15 ft x 30 ft

A: Could you provide me with more information and possibly some photos? Are you wanting all of this room to stay as the Living Room or could a portion of it become another space...etc.?
