**Q: Toka plum almost ready to flower in calgary** *(in Far North)*

Like the title says  today I was doing my pruning for scion wood and just cleaning up the trees and seen that my toka plum tree looks like it is going to flower real soon like in the next week or so :( my apricots all look so good too all the buds are plump and look a bit behind the toka but these will probably open to early to , we didn't get much of a winter I've never had such a good winter for these trees I just hope the spring can bring some nice weather and some bees  .i have seen some bugs flies and lady bugs out and did see a bee in fish creek yesterday but none at my house yet

A: Thats amazing!  I noticed red maples flowering in Kelowna the second last weekend of Feb. which is a month early and I was blown away.  Then I noticed silver maples flowering in Edmonton a couple days ago!!!  We are having an epic winter/spring.  Long term looks to hold on as well.
