> We do not recommend this company.  They damaged our field lines to the septic tank, twice.  They claimed they didn't damage it the first time, for reasons we believe so that they could just finish the job and leave.  The other damage was caused when they came over to k spect the field lines that they said they didn't damage.
> They said they would return to finish the job after the repairs were done on the field lines, but of course, they said they didn't damage them.  They did not return our calls and texts for days after the repair job.  They finally called us and claimed that they were working on another project that would take the rest of the week and then they were going on vacation, and that we should get someone else to finish.
> We cannot add a complete date, so the date that we put was the month of July 2026, because this is when they told us to hire someone else.  However, the project started in early April 2026.
> Don't hire these folks.  Not trustworthy!

> We had some challenging erosion problems that needed to be addressed.  McMillan Landscaping worked with us to develop a plan for the front, side and back of our house.  During the install, we added several additional requests.

> The overall project consisted of building a large timber retaining wall on the side of the house, 2 dry river beds and supporting piping to control water flow in the front, removed and poured a large front walkway, replaced a concrete patio floor off the back of the house with a nice block floor, built a set of stairs connecting the front and back yards and installed a 3rd dry river bed in the back yard along with drain piping.

> We hired Martin McMillan Landscaping to remove an 80' retaining wall of deteriorating railroad ties in our back yard and replace it with a cinder block & concrete wall.  Prior to meeting Martin, we had proposals from 4 other contractors for this project.  Martin was the only contractor who presented  an acceptable plan and proposal to remove and replace this wall with as little disturbance to existing landscaping as possible. We hired Martin because of his  professional knowledge and ability to work with our budget and timeline.  During the project, Martin keep us fully informed about the progress and discussed all recommended changes or improvements.  The weather was a challenge that Martin meet with an excellent attitude that was very respectful of our time and property.  We would highly recommend Martin to anyone considering hiring him.

> I have known Martin for a few years, and worked with him on a number of different projects.  From large scale (bobcat work, retaining walls and planting large trees), to small scale (planting, sodding, irrigation and drainage), he is capable of handling it all.  He has multiple sources for materials, making it easier for him to find the unusual elements I sometimes specify.  He keeps me posted on his schedule (i.e. he calls when he has an opening or a delay), and is very conscientious.  My clients and I enjoy working with him, especially since he is "the guy" actually doing the installation.

> In an update, Martin has been working on a GIANT project I designed for a Lake Lanier residence.  It involves a series of engineered block retaining walls, rebuilding a subpar existing brick wall, new paver motor court, new concrete driveway, planting, irrigation, decorative fencing, automated vehicular gates with brick columns and lighting, and an extensive drainage system.  The transformation is amazing.  Once again, great results from a great guy.  Thanks, Martin, for making me look good!

> My wife and I have used Martin for many projects, and they have all turned out beautifully.  In one case, after we had a pool installed, he landscaped our backyard and built a timber retaining wall with plenty of "dead men" for security.  He even helped us lay down sod during the rain.

> A few years later we contracted with him to build a flagstone walkway and garden on one side of our house that had been nothing but weeds before.  In addition he built a sculptured wall and raised flower bed on the side of the driveway.  We loved that so much we had him build another raised garden in front of our house.

> McMillan Landscaping installed multiple retaining walls on the job site and created multiple rain-gardens.  It was difficult finding services with the same level of expertise with the new storm water retention guidelines and felt comfortable with the rain-gardens.  The price and quality of work are both very difficult to beat.  Martin and his crew were forced to work within very constricting lots and very particular neighbors and got the work done without complaints and in a timely manner.  I would highly recommend their work.
