We replaced existing windows with triple glazed to improve sound quality as well as replacing exterior doors with soundproof doors. > > Radiant floor heating and sound absorbing duct work for the AC system were installed. > > We then completely renovated and soundproofed the bathrooms, kitchen and laundry room. Dmitri also installed glass block windows in the bathrooms, nice touch. We installed new flooring and baseboards also new solid interior doors and trim throughout the house. The stairs were upgraded and new banisters installed. We took two smaller bedrooms and combined them into one large master with tons of closet space, again completely soundproofed. > > All during this project, Dmitri’s was constantly concerned “by doing this, how would it improve the sound absorbing quality of the house”. Originally, two tall stand-alone book shelves with drawers stood on either side of the fireplace. Each bookshelf was cut in half. New tabletops were added to the lower halves. The end result? Two more practical bookshelves and two TV stands with drawers! > > 2\. A more contemporary fireplace mantel replaced the outdated one. The mantel was stained to match an existing piece in the room. The mantel is now ideal for a row of candles or flower arrangements. > > 3\. Display shelves with deep pull-out drawers were built in on either side of the fireplace.
