Classico Marmo has decades of experience providing the highest quality Marble, Granite, Limestone and Quartz slab fabrication and installation in the Pacific Northwest. We’ve been in business for 19 years, and our president, Peter Rigutto, has been working with stone for over three decades. 

However, the connection goes even farther than that – Peter comes from a line of Italian stone artisans that goes back five generations. When he got started in the family line of stone work, he was told “If you cannot do it right, then do not do it at all,” and Classico Marmo lives by that motto, always offering the highest quality workmanship and customer service possible.

Very few in this market have as much experience as I do. We are a small company who care more about quality and referrals, or repeat clients than anything else.  I take great pride in my work, and want you to have nothing more to say than, "WOW! Thank you!". 

We do residential and commercial work: countertops, fireplaces, shower slabs, vanity tops, walls, floors or any other stone project. We pride ourselves on being able to fabricate and install products that the majority of other business cannot. Shop repairs, on site repairs, refinishing and installation are all specialties.

We aren’t happy until the client is beyond satisfied with our work. That’s why we don’t cut any corners, even if it may cost us profit. As a result, our customers often call us back again and again, until no more stone projects will fit on their property!

Our connections allow us to source even the most hard-to-find stone.  We work with almost all of the quartz products including Caesarstone (we’re approved to work with the Concetto line), Quantra, Vicostone (Pental), DuPont Zodiaq.  We fear no stone project, and will make your beautiful dreams become reality.

> I have known Peter Rigutto for 16 years. He fashioned and installed all of the marble and granite work in my home: kitchen, 4 bathrooms, fireplace surround and 20 foot adjoining hearth. The quality of the work, in particular the careful matching of stone pattern was quite extraordinary.
> We moved to a condominium in 2013 and in 2014 and experienced an unexpected kitchen water leak that required tearing out the essentially new larger than average condominium kitchen. Peter fashioned new granite counters, full height back splash and large island top that are equally at the superior end of the scale.
> He also gave me all the remnant pieces from the new kitchen, and helped me load them in a truck for use at another home in California.
> The cost basis for his work is at the lower end of the spectrum for such high end quality work.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Choosing a granite slab with crack** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We are choosing countertops.  My wife fell in love with this particular granite.  We looked at all 5 slabs (we need 3) and they all have a large crack running through the about the middle.  The crane operator wouldn't even let us look at 2 slabs.  He just picked them up and shook his head at us like "I wouldn't let you buy this it's too badly cracked." There is a small chance we could work around it but very slim.  2 of the slabs have big corners missing which tells us there is also weakness in that corner. 

The salesperson said it was up to the fabricator if they would take them.  The fabricator said they worried about transport to our home. 

I hate HATE seams and have designed the kitchen so that there are none.  Can anyone who has bought stone with a large fissure/a lot of fill chime in on their experience and how the crack looked when installed?

The tape measure is showing the size of the island.  The crack is approximately where the cream and brown meet.

A: It is true that most slab fabricators would have a waiver signed, but some experienced fabricators would let you know that there would be additional costs
for the fabrication of a fragile stone and give you an estimate of what the potential extra costs would be with the chance that the estimated extra cost could go up or down depending on how much time it takes to do the work.
If you really want the particular slab- do some serious homework before
deciding on a particular fabricator.  Find someone who is really qualified
to work on such a stone, and has worked on like projects.  Luck should have little to do with your job being done correctly.
