- Description: An architect's beach side paradise. Project included Lutron Triathlon battery operated roller shades and Sivoia QS wired roller shades. Our client selected designer fabric from Lutron's Coulisse collection. We assigned IHA (intelligent hembar alignment) to all of the shades to ensure shade speed consistency throughout the home. All shades are controlled with a Lutron RadioRa2 system that also integrates with the lighting.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Client bathroom** *(in Before & After)*

Bathroom was remodeled and repainted. Everything was changed from vanity to the tiles around the tub and fresh new paint.

A: Gorgeous flooring

**Q: Window treatment color** *(in Design Dilemma)*

So...I have cream walls...rustic greyish furniture...green and bronze wall art...what color valance should I get made and what type of fabric should I use. Pics are attached of the room (sorry for the poor lighting) the painting by itself and the valance style I'm going to use. i plan to let the valance cascade all the way down to the bottom of the side windows. i was thinking a solid deep green with a gold lining but I'm not sure if that will be too drab. Help plzzz

A: Definitely consider doing a roman shade. The windows are too close together for such an intense valance.

**Q: 10 pts for Gryffindor for Living Room Layout Help** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Okay - first, ignore the boxes and the intensely football watching husband! We just moved into our first home and I am STUCK. The front of the house has two rooms divided by an open archway and my husband picked the layout pictures below but looking at it... It seems .. Off? Would it be weird to have the couch in the open archway so that the TV could be against the wall leading to the kitchen? ALSO thoughts on furniture and decor? The brown couch, brown furniture - IS SO BROWN. Can I add in white somehow to lighten it up? Also... Does the tv stand seem obnoxiously low? Oh IKEA... Help me build a grown up house please! Our college furniture is not cutting it anymore
before couch moved
Husbands set up

A: I like the set up. Maybe keep the couch and update the tables & entertainment center? Mount the TV on the wall and change out the light fixture to something more rustic/modern to tie in the hardwood floors. Add some long drapes and a rug to add a pop of color to the room.

**Q: Fabric .. Help plan!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I am obsessed with fabric, made all the curtains and my kids rooms, usually always make pillows etc. this is the family room in our new house, and I am stumped. In the conversation below I will try to attach my inspiration fabrics, I'm just having trouble picking three or four they go together. I want a fabric to make cushions for the benches, and coordinating throw pillows.thank you!

A: Houndstooth Navy would look awesome and very complimentary in your living room

**Q: Closet Lighting Solution** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I need to provide a solution for a client's concern about her closet lighting. Its common to them to find out that the lights stayed on all day (or several days when they travel) because the doors didn't close completely when they were rushing out. These lights are low voltage spots set on jamb switches. The doors are full height on pivot hinges and ball catches. Any ideas on an attractive door closer or some type of timer or sensor that shuts the light after a while?

A: Lutron Motion Sensors

**Q: Fun wet bar remodel what do you think?** *(in Before & After)*

A: What an upgrade! Excellent!
