> Barry has disappeared.  He has a $1000. deposit check from us, which he has not cashed, but will not respond to any correspondence.  Barry responded promptly to my request though Houzz in March 2022.   We met, he came to the house and we talked about the project.  He gave us a detailed estimate, which we then requested adjustments to based on our budget and priorities.  We thought work would begin in July.  It took him a while, but finally he got back to us with some of the requested changes.  By early August, I thought we were on our way to begin, and he has not answered any requests to finalize a contract or begin work or any responses at all to what is going on.
