I wanted a built in, with high quality hinges and pulls, real wood and with a desk and natural edge shelving. Also a window seat. I have higher than average ceilings and an awkward staircase and patio door and of course limited space. Custom was the only way to do it but to get real wood, not veneers or plastic, the usual custom cabinet installers would not do. I was overwhelmed. > When I found Wanda, my worries were relieved. She understood what I was looking for and knew the right people to do the work. > She drew up some great images of what the finished project would look like, brought samples, catalogues of hardware etc. She knew a great team of very professional millwrights. It was all a very smooth and calm process. > I had an issue with the hinges of the window seat and she immediately took care of it. We hired Talee Renovations to do the work and Wanda worked with them. It was a total of 10 weeks. There is no way I would have done this project without the help of a designer. I had never worked with a designer before but I found Wanda to listen to what we wanted, and even figure out what we wanted when we didn't really know. She brought us lots of material choices but not to many to be overwhelmed. She was able to guide us to what looked timeless and not to trendy but definately brought our house to look like it was just built. She was respectful of our budget and was always available to help answer an questions we had or our contractors had. Once all of the materials were picked, Wanda helped us pick out all new furniture and even helped us decide what to do with our 25 year old dining room suite. She recommended that we refinish it. She gave us a name of someone to do it and and it looks totally different and beautiful. At the end she helped with all of the finishing details with recommendation for what kinds of frames we should reframe our pictures with, where to hang them and all of the little details that just pull the house together. She made the long process easy and stress free. Pics attached. We are not fans of the shower curtains so thinking of a half-glass shower glass. What are your experiences ? A: I personally put in a glass screen for my bath/ tub combo and really like it. Recommended width is 36"W, but I went to 32"W only for better access to controls and wanted to keep a 36" W opening. I don't feel that there is any more splashing then with a showe curtain and usually a bath matt is used. However depends on the size of whoever will be using the shower or adapt to showering sideways and wiping the glass and floor after each use. I did tile down to the floor as well on the walls so it is fairly waterproof. **Q: Dimensions of pantry closet** *(in Photo Questions)* What are the pantry wall dimensions and width of the door? A: Hi Shannon, Thanks for your question. As it was an existing pantry, we just added new upper cabinets to tie into the new glass cabinets above and painted out the pantry to match the rest of the cabinetry. The face of the pantry is approx 36"W with the door at approx 28" to 30"W. Hope this helps. Getting under mount lighting installed to brighten things up. My question is should I paint the Island a different color? My floor has blacks, grays and earth tones to match cabinets. I cannot paint the cabinets at this time. Will be changing hardware also! HELP A: I would paint your kitchen cabinets a lighter colour and go dark on your island for maximum impact. Update your hardware and paint the gap above the upper cabinets in the same lighter colour. **Q: what is the color of cupboards and island?** *(in Photo Questions)* I have a similar color of flooring and would like to know the color of the cupboards and island.
