They even added a missing finish option (matte black) while I was on the phone so I could add it to my order, and helped me decide on a ceiling-mounted shower ring since I was concerned about stability. Despite the assurances on their website, the cradle could not be made to work with our tub. Perhaps they would work on a larger tub, but on a 4-1/2-foot tub, making the frame conform to the curve of the tub would require severely distorting the frame. I contacted the company to initiate a return and was shocked to learn that Classic Clawfoot Tubs charges a $200 restocking fee -- even though the item cost $289! In other words, if you by from them, you are stuck with it as they do not stand behind their products. Buyer beware! **Comment from Classic Clawfoot Tubs:** > This comment is not accurate. We would not charge a $200 restocking fee for this item, we would charge a 20% restocking fee. (It's 20% not $200) In this particular case, the restocking fee would've been approximately $57 dollars. > > FYI: This restocking fee basically goes toward covering our original shipping costs, labor time to inspect for damage or missing parts, and replace any damaged boxes/packaging. The industry standard for restocking fees is 25%, so we are actually below market. > > In regards to the Universal cradle kit described in this order, we are sorry it did not work for her situation.
