> Professional from beginning to end. This granite counter was not easy, lots of cuts and a 90 degree turn that made matching a possible nightmare, yet it looks great. I have no complaints whatsoever and would recommend the Pacific Stoneworks with no reservations. The installers were professional, were careful and they actually left the house and garage cleaner than I ever expected. The person that did the CAD measurements was courteous and did an excellent job. David knew intuitively that a couple of pieces of granite that we initially looked at were not exactly what we were looking for. Instead of rushing us, he suggested we check out more granite lots, and what we decided on is just perfect. Best yet.......I was told two days, and might have to go into the morning of a third day. They did the kitchen, and we are talking 3 slabs of granite, in one day.

> Wanted to buy rem, an irregular 30"+/- by 30"+/- possible countertop, nothing special slab. They would not be coming to the site. I would take the plywood cut out to them, and I would do all the transportation. Understandable, it is a small job. They would only bid the complete fab originally at $730, after discussion reduced to $660. Eventually got the price rem contributed to the fab $175, $28 PSF. An entire useable slab, which is typically 9' by 5' of same material, $995 elsewhere, $22 PSF. The upshot, if this is what they charge for a jagged 30" by 30" rem, I would watch out.

> Needless to say, we are disappointed to receive a negative review from a potential customer! We are very proud of the reputation for integrity in the sales and fabrication/ installation realms we have developed over the last 21 years in business.  In this particular case, the material needed for the project was quoted at $18 PSF plus tax for 9 SF of Silver Vein Cut Travertine.  Furthermore, the $70 discount was offered in good faith to try and accommodate the customer's stated budget after the original quoted price was provided.

> We used Pacific Stoneworks to create a quartzite countertop as we remodeled our master bath in January 2014.  The result was absolutely amazing - just what we had imagined!  After this successful project, we then moved on to new countertops in our kitchen (February 2015), again using quartzite but this time it was Taj Mahal.  The seams are invisible and the edges beautifully finished.  The staff worked side-by-side with us to bring out the beautiful designs in our stone and highlight them in our kitchen.  Their use of the laser-created templates helped us to "see" what the finished result would be before any stone was cut and allowed us to make changes in how the template was laid out on the stone in order to highlight the colors and movement in the stone.  Once again, Pacific Stoneworks hit a home-run with us!  The entire staff - installers, template technicians, office staff and the consultants - is top-notch.  They even worked with us to use the left-over Taj Mahal quartzite to create 2 small countertops for our guest bathrooms.  We highly recommend Pacific Stoneworks!

## Community Q&A

**Q: any issues with quartz as a backsplash? was 2 cm or 3 cm used?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Thank you for the inquiry, this material is 2CM Caesarstone waterjet cut in large pieces for minimal seams. The material is very resilient and no problems have been reported.  We do recommend watching the Care & Cleaning video/ information at their website for best practices on cleaning. Hope this was helpful!

**Q: Stair** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hi, is this the same marble as cremo delicato???? I am suppose to install cremo delicato as step on my stair. It's a thick slab since my stair structure is metal. Is it recommended for stairs or its too delicate and too easy to scratch???

A: Hello Anjelina,
If the spindles are square, then they have to be cut prior to installation because field drills are only available round.
In this case, they were round so we purchased a special stone drill bit and drilled them on site with the stair railing installer.  The iron railing was dry fit onto our stairs, hole pattern marked and a lot of drilling took place!
Also, I like the 1-1/4" thickness for treads.

**Q: What is the stone ?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Is the fireplace Stone a Quartz?

A: This is genuine marble, Calacatta Gold  to be precise. We were able to locate a large enough slab to span floor to ceiling.
In general, quartz is not a viable fireplace material because of the heat generated and the resins used to make quartz. In fact, most all quartz manufacturers will not warranty quartz on a fireplace.

A: Hello- The material is called Quartzite Perla and a Honed finish was applied. Quartzite is a natural stone that is harder than granite and is great to live with!

A: The hearth material is 3/4" thick Noce Travertine with vein cut pattern and 2" mitered edges.
