> Tired of the seeing the same products in every floor tile store in my local area, I found Pave Tile in an on-line search for a beautiful yet functional floor for my new kitchen and pantry area. I immediately fell in love with the unique, artisinal, old-world quality of the deco terra cotta tiles I purchased from Pave Tile. The tile reminded both me and my husband of floors we've seen in France and Italy. Francois worked with me every step of the way from my first inquiring phone call about prices and quantities all the way through to helping instruct my tile installer in the best installation methods. Great care was taken in the boxing and shipping of my tile and all of it arrived in perfect condition. When I needed additional tile because my project had expanded, Francois found and immediately shipped the extra. This is a small company that cares deeply about providing an exceptional product and about serving its clientele. Their service is very personal. My tile has been installed now for almost a year and I really love it. Not only is it beautiful and timeless, maintenance is a simple sweep and occasional mop with warm water.

> Our new terra cotta tile floor from Pave Tile, Wood & Stone is even more beautiful than we had hoped. The St. Tropez hexagon tiles give the antique European feel that we were going for. For anyone looking for an old world feel for their home, these are perfect!
> It was a pleasure working with Francois, who carefully discussed the installation process with our contractor, and was always available for our design questions. The tiles arrived in perfect condition - even sooner than we had anticipated - and the end result was fantastic! We highly recommend Francois' product and expertize.

> Francois was extremely helpful working with me to install the terra cotta tile in our new house. Although not particularly complicated, the process to create a finished product that had the antique, hand-laid look of the 200 year tile flooring you see in Europe required a specific sequence and process. Francois was always available via both e-mail and phone from the initial product selection advice to final finishing. In fact, at one point he insisted that we speak (as opposed to e-mail) to make sure the end result would meet our expectations. The end result was excellent. I highly recommend Pave, the product, process and people.

  - Description: French reclaimed terra cotta tiles have a history and authenticity that few floors can match. Over 150 years ago, these tiles were hand made by digging up natural French clay deposits from the ground where artisans would then slap the clay into hand made wooden molds. After a period of drying time, these green ware tiles were extracted from the molds and placed in rows after rows to dry under the sun. From there, they were stacked inside large wood-burning kilns that used olive pits and their br…

## Community Q&A

**Q: can this be made into a backsplash wall tile?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: This would be difficult. It is definitely a floor tile. HOWEVER, we are in the process of developing a new division of Pavé called Historic Decorative Tile. I am hand painting all our collections that will be fired onto a hand made vintage 5 x 5 white tile. Two of the collections are already on our site - The Cuisine de Monet and Delft - which I have expanded. The new collections will be the Monmartre Collection, Carriage House and a modern elegant version of 18th century Italian Renaissance called On the Road to Florence. The colors of the decoratives will range from Charcoal and Renaissance Blue to inspired colors from France, England and Italy. A neutral palette that reads warm and cool depending on the other colors around it. This will also be a click and buy site. We are hoping for the full division to be complete by Spring 2015. So yes... to answer your question...the decoratives above will be a wall tile great for kitchens and baths.

**Q: what are the measures of the planks** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: We stock 9" and 7" French oak and pre-finish the planks in our facility. This is a 9" wide plank.

**Q: Where do you get these tiles?** *(in Photo Questions)*

**Q: In the UK...can I get it here?** *(in Photo Questions)*
