The shop is located in a small, prestigious, New England type town dedicated to the preservation of family and a place to raise that family. She is educated in art and business, interior and marketing design and worked as a decorative painter for many years after her schooling. Traveling as a decorative painter became difficult when she found out she and her husband were expecting their first child so Creations in Fabric & Design was the perfect next chapter in her designing life. Her design shop is her second home where she is visited by new and long standing clients and friends. Everyday she is surrounded by beautiful fabrics, furniture, trimmings, bedding, and anything you could possibly want and need for your home. It's a busy place and sometimes exhausted by days end..... in a good way. She is accompanied by three tremendous women as her support staff. Her shop houses its own workroom, which allows her to manage and watch her designs come to life. She strongly believes that this is partly her success because not only is she the designer, but she knows how it is all constructed and what can be done to create perfection. She pays close attention to detail and is overwhelmingly fixed on quality. Over the years she has grown to identify with her clients in every way. She asks a great amount of questions keeping in mind that this is their space and home. She gathers layers of information and takes it away in her first meetings. They worked with many of the fabric sales people explaining what I was looking for. Often they would have possible new samples ordered for my inspection. Frequently I had to say I didn't think the new sample was quite right and so they would be on to looking for the next possibility. We were successful in the end. When it came to refinishing the wood work on the sofa they referred me to excellent people and conferred with me over the best stain to use. The upholstery work was also excellent. I am extremely happy with the end result and know I could not have done it without all their help.
