She listened carefully to what I wanted; she has so many ideas for all different interior design styles and make it match your personality and lifestyle. Particularly need help with the bathroom. See the attached picture. The main area is an entry, kitchen, dinning and sitting area all in one open space. At the bottom of the picture is the master. I think those 2 are pretty straight forward. On the right from top to bottom it is a bathroom then second bedroom. Bathroom is the tricky part, I am hoping for toilet, vanity, tub, shower, and stacked laundry. The toilet can be wall-hung to save on space. I have a few layouts that might work, but none of them are particularly good. Maybe someone more clever than I can figure it out. Or maybe I need to relinquish my hope for separate bath and shower. The second bedroom can probably just stay as is, but I'm trying to think of it as potentially being a shared room for kids or simply a queen size. The wall position between bathroom and bedroom is negotiable. Looking forward to any responses! Thanks in advance. A: dimensions are tough to read. can you post them ? **Q: Furniture placement/layout needed** *(in Design Dilemma)* We will be moving into our new townhouse in two weeks and I am still trying to figure out living room furniture. Between the two windows will be built a electric fireplace/mantle and we will mount tv above it. The connection for tv is between two windows. Couch will be placed along wall with end table and lamps on either side. Coffee table then I was thinking have two small upholstered chairs facing couch. Nice gathering area BUT less than ideal for viewing TV set. This is the only room for tv viewing in the house for us. My couch has a recliner part on either end that we currently sit in. A: You don't give dimensions, but i would suggest a layout like the one above. This way you have the perfect position for watching tv on the sofa and additional seating to entertain. **Q: What did I do with this room?** *(in Design Dilemma)* It's the first room you see when you enter our home. It is the formal living space but it's completely open to my dining room. And the piano is staying in there some where. There is this weird, unique space on the back side of the stairs that I would love to help out. That table looks weird there. Plants look good but is that all I should put there? I want to replace those chairs and rug. Ideas? Other furniture ideas? A: Have you considered putting the piano where the console table is currently? That way you have a virtually blank slate to work with in the are that you first see when you walk in. You could use a sectional sofa to begin the creation of an inviting living space **Q: need an online designer** *(in Design Dilemma)* Looking for an online designer - someone who can help me with choices for redecorating and cosmetic upgrades in the kitchen and living room. Ideally would like someone with a program that can show me the "final" look, as I don't have the vision. I would also like the suggestions of "where" to buy things possibly suggested in the plan. I am new to this site and I have been amazed at what I see on here and the ideas people share. Thank! A: perfect. I am back in my office later this evening and I will send you some details. **Q: Small Space - Need Kitchen/Living/Office Design** *(in Design Dilemma)* We are purchasing a home with a small living/kitchen space. The areas are separated by a wall with a bar area. The two rooms together measure approximately 18x29? I do not have specific measurements of the rooms yet. I need to fit my living dining and office space in this area. Any ideas? (There is a doorway to a walk in pantry in the way of where I would put my dining table.) See attached photos. A: Built in cabinetry is your best friend when you need a home office and space is tight. Make it a feature of the room and if you are messy (like me) make sure that the desk space has doors that you can just shut and hey presto! instant clean tidy dining room. If your plan was to take down the wall between the two spaces and change out the kitchen cabinets, you can also create an office space from the same cabinetry as the kitchen, so the space feels harmonious, **Q: What do you think? layout for LR** *(in Design Dilemma)* A: It does look cozy, but it also looks like it may impede the flow of traffic through the patio doors.
