**Q: Need ideas to make the garage less prominent.** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We just bought this house and while we love the inside, we aren't too happy with the exterior. The garage is too prominent and the actual front door feels hidden and uninviting. In the summer when the trees are in bloom you can't even see the front door. Without building onto the front of the house to bring the front door in front of the garage, how can we accomplish a change and gain some curb appeal?

A: Try to take the focus off the garage by giving  the yard some eye-candy, brighten the color of the fence, rock garden, or water feature. possibly an interesting retaining wall and flower garden.

A: Lighting fixture was a Craigslist find the homeowner made.
