> We worked with Scott Krecji to draw up architectural plans for a bathroom remodel project and Kathleen Grim for the interior design component. Because much of this planning was done starting in the summer of 2020 they accomodated us with zoom sessions and on the occasions that we needed to meet in person they were respectful of masking and social distancing protocols. Their ideas were artistic and refreshing and incorporated aspects that made use of our vaulted bathroom ceiling and desire for an "open" concept. Working with Kathleen provided easy access to vendors and helped me narrow down selections that were focused on our overall design scheme.
> We couldn't be happier with Scott & Kathleen!

> Schaub+Srote Architecture Firm should be your first choice for your home building project, here’s why: In my first meeting with them I was a bit nervous but that quickly went away due to their professionalism, knowledge, qualifications and their personalities that made me feel at ease and like we were on the same page. After giving them several of my ideas as far as looks, layout, type of home and genre, I hit them with something I thought was going to scare or detour them from my project...the fact that I’m paralyzed and need a COMPLETELY ACCESSIBLE home! Boy was I wrong! They put me at ease with their knowledge of ADA laws and in describing several past projects they worked on with the same parameters. In a timely manner, they returned back with my DREAM HOME! I was in shock! After just our initial meeting, they drew up plans for something I have always pictured but couldn’t put on paper...they did it! I couldn’t be any happier with the design they provided. It is a testament to their attention to detail, knowledge and vast experience. After a few SMALL tweaks, we were ready to go. Throughout the building process, Schaub+Srote acted as my general contractor, due to my limited ability. They were at the job site constantly, talking with contractors and overseeing the project was not only done right, but in a timely manner. Throughout the entire build, I was given several updates as to work that was completed and upcoming work to be completed. They were at my disposal, through phone, conference calls, email, texts and even in person. Whenever I wanted to talk to them, they made themselves available. They NEVER made me feel like I was a bother to them or a disruption to their work, but rather a part of my project and the process. Throughout this process, I also worked tirelessly with interior designer, Heather Helms. She had the same level of professionalism, knowledge, experience and pleasant demeanor, as Schaub+Srote. She helped me pick EVERYTHING for my new home and balanced perfectly, the fine line of her knowledge with my tastes. I NEVER once felt she was over reaching or thinking all my ideas were horrible. I felt more like we were a team and she loved my ideas and she helped bring everything together! It is for these reasons I, not only, give Schaub+Srote Architecture Firm five stars, I will ALWAYS consider them family and maintain close contact with each and every one of them!

> We hired interior designer Heather Helms from Schaub & Srote to help with our kitchen, dining and living room remodel. She is amazing! She thinks outside of the box and transformed our space into something we never could have imagined. She has exquisite taste in design ideas and decorating while being conscious of our budgetary restrictions. She is very resourceful and often presented us with numerous design ideas then allowed us to select our favorite option. Heather is efficient and her communication and availability is second to none. She is a kind person who never pressured us into any decisions. We plan to use Heather again for any future house renovations we do. We recommend Heather without reservation. She is without a doubt an A+!

> Working with Schaub+Srote Architects was a nice experience. We are extremely please with the support and help we received from Robert Srote and the personal in the Company. Robert tried very hard to understand and read our needs, we were very impress with the manner Robert attended each matter. When needed I will definitely use their services again.

**★★★★★ — Erin Rodabough, Nov. 2016**

> Heather Helms, designer with Schaub+Srote, has been invaluable during my basement finishing project. From her initial brilliant design of the floor plan to shopping for the perfect finishing touches, Heather has been professional, communicative, creative, respectful of my budget, mindful of my own personal style, and so much fun! I have really enjoyed every step of of this three-month process. She is a pleasure to work with, and I would (and already have) recommend her to anyone in need of a top-notch designer.

**★★★★★ — Michelle G., Nov. 2016**

> Schaub+Srote was our choice after several meetings with architectural firms in the St. Louis area. What won us over was their expertise in the area of home design and their friendly, welcoming, and down to earth attitudes that led my husband and me to see ourselves being able to work side by side with the staff for the longevity of our home building process. Schaub+Srote is a sort of "boutique" architectural firm with all the services necessary for your home building project from interior design, to landscaping, to general contractors right at your fingertips. Dave really took into account our vision and must-haves when designing our home. We know we made the right choice picking Schaub+Srote.

**★★★★★ — blueriderdesign, July 2016**

> Schaub+Srote were the perfect fit for our project. Collaborating with them on the design of our new home was creative, fun and relatively stress-free. They offered great ideas and solutions and were receptive to our own ideas and opinions as well. I recommend them to my friends and would use them again in a heartbeat!

**★★★★★ — Bob LaFiore, May 2016**

> We had looked at finishing our lower level and wanted to make a space that was both practical and functional. We reached out to Schaub + Srote and met Heather Helms who consulted with us, determined the features we were looking for and developed a plan which maximized our space and was inviting. The coordination of colors, selection of materials, and all those designing touches made the family living area inviting and functional. I highly recommend Heather for any of your designing needs.

**★★★★★ — Wilson Lighting, April 2016**

> We are a lighting and home decor resource that has been in business since 1975. We have had the pleasure to work with Schaub+Srote, Architects \| Planners \| Interiors on projects in St. Louis. Schaub+Srote, Architects \| Planners \| Interiors is very professional and will go to the utmost extent in helping clients, always willing to provide great options to fit their needs while maintaining their budget. **★★★★★ — Befitting Fabric Studio, March 2016**

> I was recently contacted by Heather Helms with Schaub+Srote to fabricate drapery panels for a residence. Once the connection and a exchange of information was made, a rapid succession of decisions were made, and the design and time table agreed to. Heather's concepts for custom design are perfectly fitting for the room and create a style and charm without going over board. She was also attentive to options I offered. I would recommend the design services offered by Heather and look forward to another opportunity to work with her and Schaub+Srote.

**★★★★★ — Kurt and Pat Breeze, March 2016**

> We were given prompt and complete service. Understood our objectives and worked to assist achieving them.
> exemplary product and service. would recommend.

**★★★★★ — Tami Miller, March 2016**

> I am a trade partner to Schaub + Srote and I have nothing but great things to say about not only their design work but their staff. Heather in particular does a fantastic job at following the finish goods of their project from beginning to end. She has an eye for detail and keeps up to date on the latest trends in design. Schaub+Srote is a first class firm. Their is nothing they can't create.

> As a builder in Naples, Florida, we recommend David and his team at Schaub+Srote Architects to anyone in the St Louis Area, as well as anyone who owns in Naples, Bonita Beach, or Marco Island, who wants to either design and build a custom home, or wants to remodel a luxury home or condo.
> David understands that you want your own special place, that reflects your style and taste. It is imperative that you trust the team you have chosen to design your dream. Schaub+Srote
> Architects is a team you can trust and we highly recommend them.

**★★★★★ — User, Dec. 2015**

> We worked with Heather and Robert on our new showroom project. Their enthusiasm for our project shined through with the attention to detail they put into their work. The thing we appreciated when working with this team is their punctuality getting back to us when we had questions and collaborating with us on our ever changing ideas. Heather had some very creative ideas on how to work our products into a useful and beautiful showroom.

**★★★★★ — Laura Lee, Sept. 2015**

> Kelly Stockie of Schaub & Srote was invaluable to renovating our 1920's home. He had fresh ideas and creative solutions to addressing our need for additional space while respecting the architecture of our historic home. Kelly honored the style of our home while employing the best options of modern day materials. Kelly's resources for both tradespeople and vendors were an integral part of the success of our three story addition.

> High quality work and very responsive to the clients needs. Experience in designing custom homes and delivering a quality product.

**★★★★★ — steventrottier, Feb. 2015**

> This firm, specifically, Robert Strote was the architect and designer for our new home. He produced a beautiful design and was very attentive to our needs. The actual building phase is just beginning, but we are so excited and very happy with the professional service that we have received.

**★★★★★ — tomhuster, Jan. 2015**

> This was my first time designing a new custom home, and Schuab + Srote was selected for the job after interviewing a handful of firms recommended by others. Robert Srote is a common sense designer, and really listened to what I wanted and took what I gave them in their questionnaire to produce almost exactly what my vision was on the first try! Robert didn't try to persuade me into added scope or things I didn't want or need, but simply turned by thoughts into working drawings. They helped myself and the builder work through a difficult municipality for getting the building permit, and I'm extremely excited to see their vision of my dream home become reality! I would recommend them to anyone looking for an architect to build a custom home!

**★★★★★ — Integration Controls, LLC, Jan. 2015**

> Schaub + Srote has been one of our industry partners for nearly 10 years. We have collaborated on projects together, working side-by-side from design to completion, to ensure all details are considered early in the process. Their passion for excellence, creativity, and progressive vision is seconded only by the incredible talent they possess. We happily recommend S + S to any client, friend, or colleague for the architectural services they provide.

**★★★★★ — suzrafferty, June 2014**

> Robert Srote did a fabulous job designing our dream home! We told him our ideas in a design meeting and our ideas were precisely transferred onto paper in a very timely manner. Robert was very responsive to emails and also understood exactly what we were trying to accomplish with his design. His company is very pleasant to work with and we were very pleased with our final result!

**★★★★★ — coletteb51, April 2014**

> Schaub & Srote are experts in their field. They are very creative and they can design around the customer's budget, whether big or small.
> On one recent project we encountered an engineering issue and they came out to the site, gave us a resolution and did not charge us for their time. They are easy to work with, detailed oriented and provide excellent service.

**★★★★★ — Eiler Design and Construction, April 2014**

> I am a General Contractor/Builder who interviewed many architects before deciding who I wanted to collaborate with on design/build projects.
>
> Dave Shaub and Robert Srote were ultimately my choice because they possess a common sense approach to architecture and translate that to a beautiful, functional and livable design.
>
> Shaub and Srote's process along the way ensures the client's vision is understood and the end product exceeds their expectations.
>
> I am happy to be associated with them and would recommend them to anyone who is considering a custom home, addition or remodel. They communicate well will lead you to a great finished project.

**★★★★★ — pkenkel, March 2014**

> I am a real estate investor that has used Robert Strote 's services in the pass. Robert is knowledgeable on code enforcement issues in various municipalities, and has always delivered as promised. He has the ability to problem solve any issues I may have, in a prompt and courteous manner.

**★★★★★ — hhball, March 2014**

> We hired Robert Srote because we liked a spec house in Des Peres that we saw where he was the architect. The house was beautiful, but the lot was too small for us. We bought a different lot and used a very similar design for the house we are building, but Robert customized it to our needs. At all times Robert was punctual, polite, and professional. We were very happy with the services we received at a fair price. I would definitely use him again for another project and would highly recommend him. Our house if nearing completion and it is beautiful thanks to Robert's excellent abilities.

**★★★★ — mariannunn, March 2014**

> My husband and I are relying on S+S to design our new home. My husband knows architecture very well and has very high standards. S+S listened very carefully to our requests and design ideas and incorporated them into the plans very well. They are responsive, creative, think 'outside the box', offer very relevant suggestions and ideas. They were very instrumental in taking us through the city approval process and we were approved on the first round. We are very pleased with the work that they are doing for us!

**★★★★★ — redbird68, March 2014**

> Schaub and Srote Architects designed a home for me which we will be moving into in summer 2014. I was impressed with their professionalism and creativity during the concept and design process. i had a decent idea of what i wanted built, they showed me how to make it a reality. We had numerous meetings, also attended by my general contractor, in which they incorporated my ideas into a buildable home. Dave and Robert are both personable. knowledgeable guys who share a passion for designing custom homes. i would recommend them to anyone.

**★★★★★ — chastelet, March 2014**

> Schaub+Srote was the architectural firm chosen to design our 25,000 sq. ft. home, located on a 7 acre hillside lot, nestled in a large golf course community. The firm had to deal with the challenges of creating an architectural design that would not only blend in with the surrounding community but at the same time accommodate the unique personal interests and requirements of the owners and take advantage of the scenic rear hillside elevations while incorporating the beauty of a one of a kind traditional front elevation. Schaub+Srote were easy to work with, creative in the collaborative owner/architect/ builder meetings and managed all the architectural, design and engineering elements of the project. From simple ideas to complex engineering challenges Schaub+Srote were able to take the owners visions and requirements and transform them into the plans and designs for this high quality estate.

**★★★★★ — smo2, March 2014**

> The Architects at Schaub + Srote are brilliant. They have guided us throughout two additions/renovations and one completely new home. The additions/renovations were seamless and looked as though they were always a part of the house. The new build turned out amazing - we had several meetings and gave them size, style, websites to reference and they came back with an almost perfect plan! I say almost perfect only because we did make a few minor changes. They helped us with all the interior finishings and even worked with our interior designer. If that wasn't enough - they have an amazing landscape architect that they work closely with who designed all the outdoor spaces. Not only did we end up with a beautiful house, but beautiful landscape, gardens and outdoor space. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is building, addition on or renovating.

**★★★★★ — joshkarenh, Feb. 2014**

> We hired Schaub+Srote to design our new home. We are the homeowners as well as the general contractors and were very impressed with their design ideas and professionalism. We went in with only a vague idea of what we wanted and Robert was very good at filling in the blanks. He was prompt to respond to our questions. The final documents were very detailed and thorough and required no immediate revisions. We highly recommend them and would hire them for another project.

> We hired Schaub+Srote as architects for our custom built house, based on the recommendation of two different friends of ours who S+S had designed for. We worked with Robert Srote, and we are 100% happy with our experience.
> Robert took the time to really listen for what we wanted in our home. He asked good questions at every step, and when we were unsure of what we wanted, he offered great ideas & suggestions. He collaborated nicely with our builder, and offered excellent alternatives when our stated objectives weren't matching up with reality.
> He & his team have custom-designed a house for us that is everything we wanted -and more. They worked weekends to help us remain on schedule, and they kept within our architectural budget -which I was especially impressed by.
> We wholeheartedly recommend S&S.
