## Community Q&A

**Q: Help with dining area?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We've just moved from a tiny apt to a slightly less tiny condo, and we now have a dining area!  Looking for some help with color.  The dark gray walls and orangey wood floors are everywhere in the house, the kitchen has more orangey wood cabinets and dark granite countertops.  My decor from the old apt is mostly teal, which works well in the rest of the house due to the gray walls, but my husband says he doesn't want to see any more of it - he's reached teal overload.  We need new dishes, as well as accent pieces for the space (the brown placemats/candle are old, looking to replace).   So far my favorite idea is a white/cream/"greenery" green combo, but totally open to other ideas.  I am looking for a large mirror to hang above my buffet (space is dark), and was considering either a simple vignette on the buffet, or maybe moving my espresso machine there and making a coffee bar (more practical for the small space, but I'm afraid it won't look nice).  Any input is so appreciated!  Been obsessing over this space for a while now!

A: Large mirror above your buffet is a good idea, but horizontal.. And for dishes and decoration - different shades of white will never be a mistake. Clear glass+white +cobalt blue+grass green+metal - elegant and timeless!
