The entire process was misleading and excruciating. Jodi could not keep the lots or floorplans straight on what she was quoting. Days later, Jodi had agreed to a compromise to keep our desired price by changing the guest suite to a third car garage. That was the ONLY change discussed. The contract did not include ANY information on the floorplan, options, or finishing’s. After requesting an updated contract with floorplan/options in writing, Jodi resent the contract approved by Novak corporate to our realtor. We then noticed they changed multiple items without discussing with us, such as downgrading our flooring, patio, and other fixtures. They expected me to sign a contract, lying through omission, and then were going to send the spec sheet AFTER I signed. We called Ross to see what could be done to rectify the issue, he stated that he simply did not want to rectify the situation. After our patience was gone from the contract bait and switch, we finally decided to end the process of buying a home through Novak. Both homes are very well made and any issues we have had, which are very few, were taken care of promptly. > The units we bought are part of the Brownstone Condo project. About a third( approx. 40) of the planned units are complete. > An area for improvement, to get five stars, would be greater involvement by the builder/HOA in communication with the owners. Perhaps informal meetings( coffee with the builder) on a regular( once a month on a Sat.morning) where open discussion would create a much more positive attitude among the owners.
