I have undertaken a very difficult project, with a restrictive township, access issues, slopes, and floodplains. What we have accomplished so far exceeds my highest goals. To be specific, the reasons i like working with Melillo and Bauer are as follows. First off, they are highly creative individuals with an impressive book. I have had many of my own ideas, and this is not a firm that wants control to be surrendered. They actually value and shape and grow themselves from the input from the client (in my experience.) They are incredibly accessible. I live in PA and they are in NJ but we have had no problems. Joe Melillo makes the drive out when ever necessary. This firm has sophisticated taste, is up to date on all current trends, will discover the facts about anything they are not sure of, have contacts everywhere, from builders to growers, engineers, you name it. I have truly had the best experience. They came recommended by my architect and have exemplified professionalism, resourcefulness, and imagination at every turn. They are there from start to finish. I would never consider another landscape architect. Figuring this one out gives me an ace in a holster filled with a bunch of other issues. They have also completed several other multifamily high end apartment project landscape design and construction document. the designs included entrance walls, clubhouse. fire pit, barbeque areas, walking paths. stamped asphalt roads and cross walks. Their work is always creative and beautiful when completed. They are able to take tight difficult spaces and maker the look inviting.
