We got a few bids and while Lifescape was not the lowest price, we thought their presentation and knowledge of materials / design, previous projects and expertise would be best to realize our vision and we are very happy with the end result. The design included grading, irrigation, pouring cement and installing pavers in multiple areas to accommodate a shed and pergola, dedicated space for planters, lighting, and fruit trees / plants. We now regret that we didn’t also do our pool with them for an end-to-end experience. Once engaged on the project Lifescape worked diligently with the crew coming out every day to complete work and they responded quickly to our feedback, such as re-mocking up our entry stepping stairs and lighting when we realized we didn’t like the landscape design on paper. Jose was very involved in the day-to-day work managing the crew and Jeff gave us valuable pointers on materials, design and showrooms to check out. > > The one challenge which other reviews mentioned here, was it took a few months of back and forth after the project was done to get replacements in for the plants that had died. I have a water fountain with metal edging around it, but the workers did not have a proper method for forming the edging into a perfect circle. They simply bent the metal and eyeballed the shape. The result was not to my liking. > Some of the plants and trees died after installation. It took several months and countless reminders before they eventually replaced them. One of the replacement trees still did not survive.
