So many things went wrong with the house in the first year—the dishwasher flooded the kitchen; first one air conditioning unit stopped working, then the other; numerous tiles fell off the wall in the shower; the smoke detectors went off constantly even with fresh batteries—that I used all my vacation days sitting at home waiting for repairmen. Stonehenge insists they send an employee out first, to make sure you're not crazy and there actually is a problem, and only then makes an appointment with a repair person for another day... forcing you to take two days off work for each mishap. I finally ran out of days I could wait at home for repairmen, so when I got more vacation days the next year I called to have those shower tiles replaced, only to be told they wouldn't repair them any more since I was past my one-year warranty period—though the tiles collapsed only a few months after closing and their employee examined them well within the one-year time period. Oh, and most of the windows will no longer close all the way, meaning air leakage and higher heating and cooling bills. I won't even go into the weeks of closing delays over a fence not being available from their supplier. The irony is that I had a new house built to try to avoid the constant repairs that come with owning an older home. My last house, built in the 1950s, had far fewer problems. **Comment from Stonehenge Building & Development:** > Thank you for your review. We apologize for any issues that may have occurred after closing your new home and sincerely regret that we were unable to satisfy you with our service. It is our intention to always make sure our homebuyers are happy with their completed home. As you know, I personally visited your home on several occasions to resolve your issues but the door was unanswered. We also confirmed in writing that, although you were unable to schedule the tile repair within the one year warranty period, we would be happy to extend the period and schedule the repair. Our team works very hard to ensure that all items are resolved to our customer’s satisfaction.
