We create Bespoke upholstered furniture and draperies, mainly to the trade.  This is a process which can best be described as similar to having a bespoke suit made.  A client may visit our showroom and feel different examples of our work, utilizing different methods and stuffing materials to accomplish the desired feel and look.  We will measure the client and determine what dimensions suit their body type and build and take into account the style of the space to create the desired piece of furniture.  Our craftsmen  use their vast knowledge of the trade to create beautiful one of a kind pieces or replicate classic designs.  Our drapery process is a bit different.  We will come to your home to measure the space and help you determine what is the best option for the space in terms of functionality and style.  Whether it means creating a custom sofa using traditional techniques such as Horse hair stuffing and hand stitched edge rolls or totally hand stitched draperies, or using more modern techniques and materials for clients with different needs, we will work to accommodate every client.  Our custom upholstery showroom is available for clients to visit to see and feel pieces before purchasing them.  Contact us for an appointment.

> John and his team at Master Craftsman Decorators worked with my architect/designer to make custom window treatments and window seat cushions for my Brooklyn brownstone.  Every single room in our house needed attention except for two bathrooms!  It was even more difficult because my house is over 100 years old -- so the windows are of varying sizes and, in one room in particular, the house had settled so much that they also weren't level which created a significant eyesore.

> John's team fabricated Roman shades for 75% of the rooms with custom valences and advised me on seemingly minor things that were of great significance to me like 1) child proofing because we have a young son, 2) the best lining to use in one room that was particularly drafty, and 3) where it made the most sense to have a top down/bottom up feature.  In three rooms, they installed Hunter Douglas shades.

John and his team understood what we wanted, and we couldn't be more thrilled with the results.  He completely transformed the look of our sofa--removing the skirt, slimming down the arms, adding stainless steel legs, removing stuffing and giving it a more clean, square, architectural design.  We had sent him a picture of the Knoll Divinia sofa as inspiration, and the end result looks just like it.  Throughout the process, John and his team were accommodating, responsive and a breeze to work with.
