Three months ago to the day, I provided a substantial down payment (over $10,000) to this Contractor for remodeling work on our kitchen. To date, they have yet to show. We have called over 25 times, e-mailed profusely, and visited in-person repeatedly. Each time we were given an excuse as to why work had to commenced. Excuses ranged from the Contractor's vacation to their family dog dying! We were more than sympathetic, patient, and understanding, but our kitchen has been in boxes for three months and they have kept over $10,000 of our money without completion of ANY work. Their communication skills and customer service leave much to be desired. They actually make you feel as if they are doing you a favor by letting them take your money and not acknowledge you at any level thereafter. I would never recommend this Contractor to any one. I asked if that was normal and he said "yes". Why was I told 5-7 days? There have been two workers each day except today. One worker was pulled for a different job. > The start date for this project was changed because it was RAINING! How does rain effect the ability to work on a bathroom? I told the owners that I wanted them to start work that day as I was told. They couldn't because they sent their crew out to a different job. Apparently, they can work in the rain somewhere else. > I called multiple times to have the owner pull flooring and countertop samples, but was put off for two-three weeks. Each time they said it would be ready in a couple of days. > This company is bad at communicating. They are poor at scheduling and do not care how long they drag out the process. They had the deposit money for two and half months before they began work. There is no motivation to get started when you have money up front. The sad thing is that this bathroom remodel is being done to make it handicap accessible. My father is the one who suffers while waiting. I DO NOT recommend this company. Every project has its glitches but the proof of a good builder is solving the problem and standing behind the job. Joey solved every problem and Terry (the owner) has stood behind his work.
