The area to be remodeled had last been worked on in the late 80's/early 90's but consisted of spaces that were originally constructed in the late 40's and late 80's. Our goal was to update the spaces with new appliances, lighting, remove a structural column, turn the laundry room into a butler pantry, and improve the traffic flow in the space. We also needed to upgrade the lighting and electrical in the other portions of the 1940's part of our home which necessitated relocating and upgrading our circuit breaker box. In addition, we renovated an area of our garage which had 1940's shelving and a sink and installed new base and wall cabinets, countertops, and a new sink. Throughout the process, Dave and Dan were very attentive to the timing of when things would get done to minimize the inconvenience my wife and I would face during the remodel. In this type of project there are always going to be surprises because youn don't know what you will find when you start taking the walls down. Through it all, Dave and Dan were very flexible and came up with great ideas about how to deal with the "unexpected surprises". Dave also had great design ideas, which we had not considered, and which enhanced the final outcome of the project. I want to specifically give a shout out to their primary sub-contractor, Alex, who's hard work, attention to detail, and creativity in solving problems also made this remodel project more enjoyable.
