> I contracted with Kelley Building company to replace my old windows with Andersen Windows. They measured all my windows and ordered the correct size replacement windows. One crew removed the old windows and fitted, insulated and caulked the replacements into the exterior frame. Because the old frames inside the house were not quite large enough to reuse a new crew of interior framers acquired the materials to adjust the size of the interior frame to fit the new windows and cover the old drywall and wallpaper cutouts from the old windows. Then a third crew of painters matched the new trim to match the old and in fact their work was better than the original paint. I am really happy with the finished product and think that going with KBC gave me the best crews for each task that needed to be done to complete the job.

> Terrible project management: the job, with only two unexpected problems (one that the builder should have foreseen) that delayed work slightly, took double the time contracted.

> Willingness to accept shoddy work by subcontractors, unless pushed to get it fixed. This happened twice, both on large, visible and significant elements of the job.

> Poor communications. Jeremy was great at the front end sales, but nearly absent for the job itself. Responsiveness was erratic.

> Unwillingness to face reality: multiple times, when it was quite obvious that the job would not meet a deadline, we were assured that it would. Of course, it didn't.

> Poor finish. When the work was finally done and we could move in properly, we arrive to a place covered in dust, with worker debris was still in various corners of the place,  We ended up carrying out more than a car load of stuff and having to clean the place from top to bottom.

> First floor remodel.  Kitchen, foyer and family room converted to "open concept" and first floor bed and bath remodeled for wheel-chair accessibility.   It is amazing to see now what Jeremy and his crew could see at the onset.  Their work is of the highest quality.  We found the crew to be consumate professionals, from design to demolition to construction to clean-up. The site supervisor and the carpenters were friendly and accessible with our questions and suggestions.  They handled change orders well, and the change orders were priced fairly.

After living in a dark, cramped, dysfunctional 1939 kitchen for 10 years, I am amazed at not only what a difference a new kitchen can make in terms of culinary delights, but what a difference it has made in our daily quality of life. It is a pleasure to walk into every morning and after a year of hard living with 2 young active kids and a dog, has held up beautifully! As opinionated artists and illustrators, we were certainly not the easiest clients to work with, and KBC handled every quirky request and design adjustment with helpful feedback and tact. We were encouraged to explore our creative inspirations and were always made to feel like our kitchen needed to be "our kitchen" and reflect our family's taste in form and function. KBC did everything in their power to see our vision come to life. We worked with their designer at the time, Jennifer Robichaud, and she was such a huge help. Another thing that really impressed me was the quality of KBC's construction team. Not only were they friendly and respectful, but they were cleaner than we are! The construction zone was always tidy and swept up everyday. They were also very respectful of the fact that I worked from home and warned me when the noise might get louder in their work area, in case I was on a conference call, etc.... And whenever the project hit a bump in the road (which is inevitable in an old house reno), they were always quick to respond with a remedy that met or exceeded our expectations and kept our budget in mind. Our renovation was a huge success and I highly recommend KBC. Thank you, Jeremy Kelley and team! Our daily life is much richer thanks to your talents.
