Bo Hagood, the owner came over and looked at the space to do the estimate and get an idea of the space for the design. In a few days I received a beautiful drawing with dimensions and details that allowed me to get an idea of what the cabinet would look like. It was well designed. The design was thoughtful in addressing function (i.e. cord and cable management) and beautiful with the wrapped walnut veneer on the lower cabinets and reveals that gave a continuous line. > > The installation was completed in a professional and meticulous manner. Care was given to protect the floors and walls in the workspace as they did the installation. A lot of time was spent in making sure that the cabinet was leveled at the base and the upper cabinets resting were perfectly aligned. They cleaned up the worksite after the installation was completed. > > The craftsmanship of the cabinet is stunning. The grain of the walnut veneer on the lower cabinet was matched even around to the sides. To say my father was pleased with the result would be an understatement. As an architect, I knew exactly how I wanted the cabinets to be executed. Bo Hagood met with me several times to work through the design of the cabinets so that they would match my expectations. He is very design oriented and was able to offer alternatives and solutions to make all of the details work in a cohesive manner. When Bo and his crew showed up to install I was so impressed by their level of organization. Their tool bags were labeled and their tools were immaculate. This is especially true for something like cabinetmaking, where every little glitch, mistake and moment of lousy measuring is so terribly easy to see. Bo and his team at MADE will not be your low bid, but they more than justified the cost with an astonishingly careful, accurate, detailed, elegant and responsive job. I hired them to re-do the kitchen cabinet doors in our modernist/mid-century great room. The original cabinets were poorly made and poorly painted. We replaced them with a combination of walnut and solid-color doors, all finished with a special matte varnish that is highly durable and does not spot or stain. They started out by spending HOURS here just measuring the original cabinets. When it came time to install, their work was impeccable. It was tough to get on their schedule, but when we were scheduled they kept to the schedule. They were responsive working with my designer on color matching and choosing walnut. A couple of little left-over issues were dealt with quickly and courteously.
