Dark Horse Woodworks is an independent custom furniture and cabinetry company based in Atlanta, Georgia. We specialize in design and construction of individual furniture pieces, as well as custom cabinetry.

The Dark Horse Studios team is not limited to any particular design genre. We move easily between different styles and periods, as you’ll note when browsing through our gallery. While we occasionally create individual pieces of furniture, most of our work now involves large-scale cabinetry and other projects for kitchens, living areas, bathrooms, libraries and beyond.

A custom design is a collaboration between you and the Dark Horse design-craft team. We’d be excited to talk with you about your project and look at the ways we could work together to bring your ideas to life.

The Dark Horse team values working with clients who appreciate the distinction of custom, finely crafted cabinetry and furniture, and we find the design process as satisfying as the building process.

We enjoy meeting and getting to know our clients, finding out what they believe is important, and incorporating their sense of style into a unique project.

The cabinetry in the bar area includes a hidden-away warming drawer, oven and microwave; all appliances are Wolf or Sub-zero. Walnut was used for much of the shelving and cabinetry; the one special request from the client was that we match the color of the existing trim, as well as the floor in two areas of the basement.

A: Yes, rift cut white oak veneer with a clear finish.

A: All of our cabinets are custom made in Atlanta. I'm sure any custom cabinet maker could provide this for you if you are not in the Atlanta area.

A: They are custom cabinets that we made in our shop using REHAU Crystal acrylic panels in the color Sabbia.

A: The hood cabinet was 22" deep. Our standard upper cabinet is 14" deep.

What finish is the rift oak? And the hardwood fooor?  Thanks!!!!

A: Cabinets are clear satin lacquer. I wasn't involved with the floors but I do know it was a custom color that the homeowner and floor guy came up with.

A: While I didn't have anything to do with the floors, I do know that are oak with a custom mix stain.
