> I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted for our new kitchen, but I decided to have a professional look at it anyway. Nicole Goldman turned out to have very good ideas about how to deal with an awkward corner around a half bath. It involved moving a wall, but it was well worth it. It improved the kitchen flow a lot, while making the half bath actually larger.
> Nicole also put us in contact with an excellent builder who made the whole project a breeze. The materials that she suggested were of high quality, although I would not recommend the cabinet makers for special order furniture. The special pieces we ordered had problems which, I must say, the makers remedied thanks to g Green Design's help.

**Q: What is the material used in the kitchen cabinets?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Its a stained Alder wood.  I love the look - very clean and contemporary.

What material?

A: As mentioned above its Eco by Cosentino(made by Silestone) in recycled glass and concrete.  Its not a bench, its a countertop for an island.  Thanks for your question

My compliments, this is so well done. Your use of color, woods, tile, Vetrazo, stone, are a delight to the eyes. Whom is the cabinetry made by, what is the wood type and stain? And lastly what is the brand of fun curved handles? Thanks!

A: Thanks for your appreciation.  I believe the cabinets are a stained alder, but have to look back at the file to confirm.  Both the cabinets and handles are from our cabinet company Canyon Creek.

How do you like your cork floor? Has it held up well? Thanks

A: The cork has held up well.  I've used it a number of kitchens o very the past few years.  We've had excellent results and people seem to enjoy the soft feel underfoot as well as the look.  I would recommend it highly.  But of case you must select a product of quality and certain brands are better made than others.

**Q: What are the backsplash details?!** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Backsplash is a single tone tile mosaic with recycled content.  Though varied in size, the monotone backdrop creates a serene and clean look for the kitchen since it is open to the adjacent living and dining rooms.

**Q: What are the dimensions of this room?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: I'd say roughly 12' x 12'  open to the living room and dining room.  We tried to make the most of the space and took down 2 surrounding walls to give it this open feel.  Thanks for asking.
