> True Craftsmanship.  From the moment I talked to Robert on the phone, I was extremely impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. Prior to our phone call I sent him a few pictures of what I would like built, a media cabinet where vinyl records can be stored. We discussed different options, and he sent me a few pictures of a project he had recently completed. I placed an order with Robert, he gave me a timeline that was bang on. Robert sent me updated pictures and videos as the cabinet was being built, this was a part my wife and I really enjoyed. Robert delivered and set the cabinet up and thoroughly explained how to care for the cabinet. He was in no rush to leave and answered all our questions. The craftsmanship is second to none, if you are looking for a generational piece of furniture, I highly recommend Robert.

The soft-close lower drawers on both sides of the bed provide considerable storage.  The floating side tables, also equipped with soft-close drawers, occupy less space than traditional nightstands and contribute to the bed's clean and contemporary look.  The overall appearance of this bed exudes quality and luxury.  The grain of the wood (I chose the cherry wood) is beautiful and the bed could not be sturdier.  It is truly a work of art, and Robert Akroyd is a master craftsman.  He was a pleasure to work with and he was incredibly accommodating.  For example, he had no problem altering the dimensions of the floating side tables to suit my needs.  He also kept me apprised every step of the way.  Finally, the shipment was accompanied by straight-forward assembly instructions which included photographs.  This was a great experience culminating in an exceptional piece of furniture.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Hello I need this media cabinet.** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hello I would like to purchase this cabinet can I get the cost and dimensions.

A: Hello Crystal,
We design+build custom pieces and could therefore make modifications to this design to suit. As BC-20 was built, it was rift-cut white oak and measured L116", H21", D16" and cost CAD$5,700.00. 
The floating shelves above are separate and cost CAD$670.ea
This can be built at a size you specify and will be priced accordingly.
We crate and ship all the time and ship about 40% of what we build to other markets.  For people outside of the the Toronto area where we directly service, wall mounting is very straightforward and I would provide a removable base to assist in the location + installation. BC-20 was installed in a condominium against a drywall-over-concrete situation which is rock-solid. If it's more common drywall over wood studs, that would be even easier+stronger. The only situation where strength might be questionable is 1/2" drywall over metal studs.

A: Thanks for your inquiry- we custom build from our Toronto workshops and sell directly to residential customers. What's the name of the wood used in this product?

A: All exterior components are Eastern Black Walnut with an oiled finish. The bed slats and internal elements are White Oak. We build these beds to suit, so it can also be built in other woods.
