**Q: Do you know the paint colors?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The base color is wiemaraner AF155 and a shade lighter is pashmina AF100 from Ben Moore. Perfect wonderful colors that look good anywhere. The matellic is a champagne color from modern masters.

**Q: Please help! I can't figure out what I need to finish this room.** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I'm not sure about the print next to the table. I thought maybe it needs a frame or it's not right for the space. In the corner of the family room, I'm not liking the chest. I know it needs something over it, but I'm thinking the style isn't right for the room. Please help me warm up this space.

A: I think you have an excellent start, however I would move that chest under the painting in the dining room and line up the edge of your table with the center of the door (if it will fit). Also you mentioned you have a pumpkin color in the rug. Another option would be to find a bigger and brighter piece of artwork for the dining wall, then put the other painting above the chest in the seating area. Adding in some brighter colored accents (possibly bright green) would make it come alive. You could do this with throw pillows, and a centerpiece between the 2 lamps on the sofa table. Adding in upholstered chairs at the ends of the dining table would make that area feel a little more luxurious and warm as well. Hope this helps! Happy Decorating!

**Q: Need ideas for my entrance** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I was thinking about putting textured ceramic on the wall on the left but having second thoughts...maybe on the three walls? or maybe ceramic in the entrance will be too much given the high walls?  I am looking for a clean, pure and warm look.  Thank you for any ideas!

A: What is the style of your home? Are you looking for something to just make the walls "pop" when you first walk in?

**Q: Help!!! Family Room layout & design.** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Please help us!!!  We have purchased our house recently, painted, and purchased an area rug & window panels.  We want to buy new furniture for the family room, but we are having a hard time figuring out what & how to layout the room.  We would eventually like to add built-ins around the fireplace.  The TV needs to stay above the fireplace.  The room is 19lx13.5w.  The fireplace is 5wx2d, and is a little off center on the wall.  The door opening is 3'9", and is 11'2" from the fireplace wall, and 4'3" from the (current) sofa wall.  Behind the sofa is a set of windows 5'5", and is centered on the wall.  On the(current) loveseat wall there is a set of windows 8'8" and is centered on the wall.  Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you!

A: Looking at this room it looks like you would have enough space to create a few different "areas". I would put the couch and loveseat closer to the fireplace and pulling the rug up to about 4" from the brick of the fireplace. Anchor the area with a center table and put the sofa and loveseat in an L-shape. If it works with the space I would line up the back of the sofa up with the open doorway creating a cozy sitting area. You may want to put the longer couch under the window and the loveseat in the middle of the room. 
For the wall that the has the long sofa on it now, you could create a kids table and toy area (if you have kids) or put 2 wing back chairs with a nice round table making it a "reading" area. A sofa table at the back of the sofa could also help to fill the space.
