It is a different process than ordering off the shelf pre made cabinets, and the extra time and care rewards with an excellent product. > We have used the same designer Donna all three times and have been happy with the thoroughness in planning which provided for an easy install. We had an installer error in drawer fronts in one house, and a finished measure error in the other both on our end. Both issues were resolved quickly with the support of Donna and Tuscan hills. > The finished product both times exceeded expectations in finish and structure (both installers were impressed by the structure of cabinet boxes). I did not want to replace cabinets ever again. The boxes are heavy duty and the panel fronts/face are also thick solid wood (instead of a flimsy MDF in the middle section). That said, these were double the price compared to cabinets that need to be replaced in 10 years. My installing carpenter was very impressed with how nice the quality of the cabinets were as well. I have had these installed for about 6 months and they have taken a beating with toddlers and their toys. > > The process took about 1.5 month from initial consultation to purchase date. I haven't seen in recent re-hashes of cabinet reviews for these brands except for posts a few years old and I know quality changes over time. My family is doing a big construction project including remodel of the kitchen and we quotedBrookhaven(my parents used) which came out expensive @35K. We also quoted Starmark through Costco's Tuscan Hills and Omega through a local company in California. Both came out about even in cost (~25K) and seem about comparable in quality. We have a toddler and another baby on the way, so we want something that can hold up to kids. We're going to be doing grey lowers/white uppers with no glazing. I've seen some very scary stories of cabinets from these companies being delivered broken, etc. and we don't have a lot of time in the schedule to deal with 6 month delays for parts and arguing. I'm also nervous about the Tuscan Hills online only service. Can someone give recommendations on either of these brands? Do damaged part orders purely depend on the KD you use? Foremost, the replacement of damaged parts and pieces will take the same amount of time no matter where you order cabinetry from. Whether you order online or through a local dealer doesn't matter, the incidence of damage isn't tied to the order source. When a member reports any issues with their cabinetry we act immediately to create resolution. I don't want you to worry about a six month kitchen nightmare, as our parts and pieces orders ship within 2 weeks of order. One thing I would like to stress, regardless of whether you choose us or another dealer, is to allow enough time in your schedule to not only replace a piece or two in the case of damage, but time for the cabinetry to acclimate to your home before installing. Especially now, as the winter is upon us, wood cabinetry needs to breathe the air in your home for at least 3 days before being installed. When it comes to choosing a cabinetry vendor, you should go with the company that makes you feel most comfortable. Many local dealers have excellent reputations. A: Hello atkvt95, Tuscan Hills doesn't sell decorative hardware. However, that to me looks like an antiqued bronze style bar pull. I can try to reach out to the client and see if she remembers where she got them, but the style is very commonplace. A: Hello Sheila, Sorry for the late reply, I didn't see this message come through until today :( This kitchen is what I'd consider to be on the small side, roughly 8'-9' x 11'-12' with a 5'x2' island. It's got an 8' ceiling (you can tell by looking at the space above the door frame, which is 84" tall, and estimate that it's about 1' of space).
