Our remodel included extensive cabinetry work: a new kitchen with coordinating fireplace surround and shelving/cabinetry in our great room, new bathroom vanities, and build-out of our study with countertops, shelving, and cabinetry. We selected Pacific Design for this part of the project. PD started with our interior designer's plans and collaborated with us and our designer effectively to problem solve and create a beautiful and functional plan. When PD completed its final approved construction drawings accompanied by a written proposal detailing the specifications and cost for each area of the project, we signed a contract. At this point PD ordered all materials. We chose walnut for the great room and kitchen cabinetry with some white Italian laminate for upper kitchen cabinets, natural rift oak for the bathroom vanities, and laminate for the study. All our cabinetry has a contemporary flush design, which is a harder look to achieve than traditional cabinetry with trim. As with any major project, there were some hitches along the way. PD handled them in a professional manner and made all corrections to our satisfaction and the satisfaction of our interior designer. There were no upcharges. We have done several remodeling jobs at former homes and have seen where contractors can cut corners. Pacific Design uses high quality materials, quality workmanship and the owners are professional and easy to work with.
