### Reviews

**★★★★★ — Stephen Gosoroski, Aug. 2018**

> Melody was instrumental in designing the new layout of the kitchen while working with the small space that we had. She also led us through the process presenting options and recommendations for cabinets, counter tops, floor type, lighting, fixtures, hardware, etc. If we had certain opinions on what we wanted, she was supportive of working it into the final product.
>
> She also made recommendations for changes to adjacent areas to help with the flow of the new décor in the kitchen.

**★★★★★ — Denise & Mike Glauser, Aug. 2018**

> Melody helped us with a complete kitchen remodel for our 27 year old house. She was very patient with us, working around our schedules. Our project took several months to plan. Melody was attentive to our needs and was willing to work with our choices for countertop and backsplash tile. She located a luxury vinyl tile that we absolutely love, so easy to take care of. She caught a few errors during the rough in stage that alleviated problems later in the project. She is very detailed oriented and we thoroughly enjoyed working with her.

**★★★★★ — Lutz Plumbing, July 2017**

> Melody is incredible to work with and for as she has a keen eye for design and mind for organization and customer service. She can help from an entire remodel to recommending a few upgrades for a room to fit any style and budget. I highly recommend working with Interiors by Melody. She is a true professional.

A true professional, Melody goes the extra mile to help her clients, finding the perfect balance between meeting their needs and maintaining their budget. She stays educated about the industry and is in tune with today's trends, which reflects in her work. She is a joy to work with and we highly recommend Melody with great confidence!

> I've worked with Melody on several projects & love her style! She is always very professional & her clients seem to really enjoy working with her. She offers a variety of solutions, but not so many that it be overwhelming. She seems to really understand what her clients are seeking and works within their timeline and budget. It's always a pleasure to see Melody come into our showroom.

**Comment from Interiors By Melody:**

> Thank you for your kind words, Lynn! I do love working with clients in your showroom! It is so nice to bring clients in so they can touch and test out furniture pieces for their homes. Your showroom is lovely and has a great variety of styles and price ranges.

**★★★★★ — Dana Hague, July 2017**

> Melody is outstanding at discerning your style and coming up with the perfect design, and she is a pleasure to work with. My husband and I were overwhelmed by all the design choices for our kitchen remodel, especially choosing a color palette. Melody met with us, brought us samples, and helped to distill all the choices. She introduced us to some wonderful choices for countertops, backsplash, paint color, flooring, window treatments and lighting that made our kitchen and open dining/living room stunning! We couldn't be more pleased.

**Comment from Interiors By Melody:**

> Thank you Dana for your kind words. I am so happy that you and Mark are pleased with the work we did together. You two have put your personal touch on your new home. I know you will enjoy it for years to come!

**★★★★★ — Shana Rains, Dec. 2016**

> Working with Melody was terrific. She did all the work! She met with us and we gave her the basic idea we wanted to accomplish with our kitchen & family room remodel. We also had a firm budget that she asked about at our initial meeting. She then put a plan together and walked us through that plan. She had vision and ideas we would have never thought of on our own. When we were needed to make decision on such things as colors, countertops or cabinets, she brought samples to the house. No running all over town looking at samples. It was really painless. The project was done on budget and in a timely manner. It has been over 5 years since we did this project but I still wouldn't change a thing today. It was the best investment we have made in our house.

**★★★★★ — Nancy Koons, Dec. 2016**

> I hired Melody to assist me with updating an older home that we purchased. 90% of the home went through some sort of updating/gutting. Melody was a master at managing the various contractors so that the work occurred quickly and all her sub-contractors she uses are very good and professional. She stayed in close touch with me (and them) at all times, and definitely works very full-time at her profession so is on top of the latests trends, vendors, and has excellent relationships with and is respected by the people I came in contact with that she uses. She also kept me posted via a calendar that showed me what day of each month different tradesmen would be working in our home, which was very helpful.
> I would recommend Melody Davidson (and already have) to anyone looking for an interior designer.

> When we moved into our villa, we needed a blackout curtain in the spare bedroom for our son. After chatting with our maintenance staff and determining they could NOT provide what we wanted, I contacted Melody and gave her a brief outline of the proposed project. When she arrived to talk with us, she was prepared with a proposal for me and sample books for my wife to review. After my wife picked out what she wanted, Melody took measurements, made a couple of phone calls, and had the product ordered with a firm shipping date and a date range for the installation specialist.
>
> I was very impressed with her attention to detail and the speed with which she prepared and completed the project. The longest time requirement in preparing the project was for my wife to choose what she wanted. After that, the project proceeded with almost lightning speed with completion as promised. I cannot recommend her more highly, regardless of the size and scope of your project.

**Comment from Interiors By Melody:**

> Thank you Bob! I really appreciate your kind words! Nothing better than a happy client.

**★★★★★ — Jan Shrewsbury, July 2016**

> I have been a client of Melody's for over 30 years. We have had several projects over these 30 years and every time she has been efficient and respectful of my budget while ensuring that the end product is awesome!! She does a great job of suggesting creative ideas within my budget. From the beginning she had a insight for figuring what I would like and not like. It is always an easy and fun process to work with Melody.
> Our last project was painting my kitchen cabinets. They turned out beautiful.

**Comment from Interiors By Melody:**

> Thank you, Jan! I always enjoy working with you...and Dennis! Looking forward to our next project. - Melody

**★★★★★ — bjkopel, May 2016**

> Melody helped us choose paint colors, drapes, shutters, lighting fixtures and kitchen wall tile for our new home. She was very in tune with the style we liked. Melody was always punctual and ready with new ideas. She is an individual that is very easy to work with, never pushy and always seemed upbeat. We purchased living room, dining room and bedroom drapes thru Melody as well as shutters for the master bedroom. Melody also helped us choose art work for several rooms as well as area rugs. We will definitely be using her again.

**Comment from Interiors By Melody:**

> Thank you very much for your kind words. It was a pleasure working with both of you and I can't wait to collaborate again on another project!

**★★★★★ — stratton707, May 2016**

> I first met Melody in 1978 when I needed new drapes in my townhome. She was prompt and made great suggestions and I was happy with her services. I moved in 1981 and again called her for more interior design work. She has helped me decorate three more times in three different homes. She is easy to work with and professional and I have no reservations in recommending her design services. She does excellent work.

**Comment from Interiors By Melody:**

> Thank you Rosemary! It's always fun working with you. We need to sit down and schedule our next project together!

  - Description: This 1960’s era split level had been well maintained by the current homeowner. Located in the midst of Overland Park and convenient to work and shopping, the homeowner had updated the large eat-in kitchen and spent several years creating a lush welcoming backyard. The home had met her needs and those of her ‘four legged kids’. Then in 2012 her mom moved from Texas to live with her. That transition created a new challenge. As is typical of this vintage split, the main floor consisted of a modest…

  - Description: The 70’s was a decade of dark stained wooden beams & cabinets, bold colors and aluminum wiring. The countertop of choice was laminate, and the flooring in the working and wet areas of most homes was sheet vinyl. Golds & greens were the most popular color combinations. Such were the original finishes of this house. This traditional two story house, built in 1971, had already shed some of the 70’s décor. The entry, living room, home office and dining room had previously been updated. Beautiful, d…

  - Description: What do you do when the Master Bath is tiny and increasing the footprint isn’t an option? Maximize every square inch! A 50’s Prairie Village ranch presented this dilemma. The answer: Create a small but luxurious shower by borrowing a few inches from an adjacent closet, recess a niche for shampoo and soap, and install flush mounted body sprays. Then cover shower walls and floor with travertine; and paint the walls a soft sea mist, visually expanding the space. A small vertical cabinet, with frost…
