**★★★★★ — The Deigh Family, July 2022**

> Sabine was vital in the reconstruction of our family home after our house fire in February of 2021. From start to finish, from working with the architect on the blueprints, bringing in a contractor who she works really well with, and everything down to the last detail of when our home was finished… knobs to furniture and accent pieces… I SOOO appreciate Sabine’s awesome sense of style, and how she helped us bring everything together. This is especially considering how emotional everything was for our family. I would recommend Sabine and Georgette Marise Interiors to any and everyone!! Five stars all the way!!

**★★★★★ — Bathroom Remodel, Nov. 2021**

> Great experience from start to finish. Very knowledgeable and professional. The work crew were friendly, experienced, and did amazing work.

**★★★★★ — Gwenn, March 2021**

> Working with Sabine exceeded my expectations. I wanted help with the lighting, ergonomics, and aesthetic in my home office. The ideas she gave me were awesome for all the space and so well-organized that it was incredibly easy and satisfying to transform both the feel and function of my space. And it all came in under budget also! I highly recommend Sabine and her business, Georgette Marise Interiors.

**★★★★★ — Apartment Decorating, Feb. 2021**

> Sabine did a amazing job creating a masculine look to my apartment but still in the most stylish and inviting way. I have received so many compliments on my space and I will be reaching out to her for all future decoration projects!!

**★★★★★ — Lillian Terreforte, Dec. 2017**

> Sabine Hayes was a pleasure to work with. She handled my kitchen renovation project from design to completion. As with any projects, there were challenges along the way. However, Sabine always managed to resolve any issues and stayed within budget. She took a tired and dated 1950's kitchen and brought it back to life. I now have a beautiful kitchen which I enjoy being in everyday.

> I had an empty space with a very weird layout but I wanted to have a walk-in closet. So I worked with Sabine to have a plan drawn up that would do the space justice and meet all my needs (I have a lot of clothes, shoes, bags, you name it).
>
> Sabine was very professional, responsive and understanding of all my needs. She drew up a plan for my contractor that was very detailed with measurements that were easy to follow. She also created a presentation for me that detailed all the accessories I would need for the closet and where I could purchase those products. I really didn't have to think at all wondering what to get or where to get them!
>
> I would use this company again for any other project in my home and I highly recommend them!!

> She did a great job listening to what I was aiming to achieve and then executing it out. She worked within my budget. The end product was amazing. I have used her services several times. She designed my living room, kitchen, dinning room, powder room, master bedroom baby's room, deck and man cave. I now have a dream home that looks straight out of a catalog!!! She even designed 2 unique framed pieces of artwork to use to decorate!! There's no way I could've done this on my own. She's a total professional and pro!

> The representative for this company was very timely and professional. She got the job done with a reasonable cost and with a positive attitude. She made great suggestions and I was always able to contact her. I would do business with her anytime in the future and recommend her to others.

> I recently moved into a new home and needed some guidance on furnishing it. I had several items to work around which presented some obstacles. They were very professional and steered me in the right direction. I needed honest input and received the feedback which was very much appreciated. They were very accommodating with my budget and I will most definitely continue in the future with their services.

> We discovered Georgette Marise Interiors after seeing another house they designed. That house was one of the most beautifully decorated homes we had ever seen, and we immediately knew we wanted those designers. We hired them to do our entire first floor - front door, foyer, living rm, dining rm, family rm, kitchen/eat-in area, powder rm, guest bath, laundry room, & back hallways. We were incredibly happy with the results! We had very high expectations and Sabine & her exceptional team exceeded them. They made the whole process easy & seamless for us. They are truly full service - every detail was taken care of. And they really wow'd us with the finished product. People are amazed when they come to our home - we get more compliments than I can keep track of! We are still planning on using this excellent company to do our upstairs!

> I hired Sabine Hayes to design and decorate several rooms in our new home. We had the foyer, living room, dining room, powder room, master bedroom and master bathroom done. Sabine was very helpful and knowledgeable in all phases of the project. She really listened to what I wanted and did an excellent job with helping me pick out paint colors, fabrics, furniture and accessories. She met the deadlines on each project and stayed within my budget. She promptly returned my phone calls and e-mails. Sabine was dependable, courteous, and it was a pleasure working with her.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Poufs** *(in Photo Questions)*

Where can I find those poufs?

A: Hi! This project was a couple years ago, but I believe that the rattan poufs were from Pier 1.

**Q: Living room help please** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I am having a hard time filling this room, walls look bare and so much empty space I feel. Looking for suggestions on how to make this room feel more cozy. I do want to add curtains, gets really cold in the winter so need to help block some of that cold out. Mainly what should I do with the walls (especially the last pic wall). Previously I got a suggestion to add cabinets on either side of the fireplace and add art work above each cabinet but I can't seem to find low cabinets that would go in a living room.

A: Your accent chairs are very nice.
I would recommend brightening the room with patterned accent pillows that pick up the color palette from your area rug. Right now the pillows don't connect with the area rug. Second, I would add more color with wall art. I agree with the suggestion about creating a collage wall. The large wall needs several large scale artwork. The mirror above the fireplace needs to be a larger scale to compliment the fireplace. Lastly adding floor length panels on the windows will help create a cozy, warm look.
Hope that helps. Good Luck!

**Q: Family Room Issue** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I have a large (22x18) family room in a Spanish Colonial home. A large TV armoire (which I love!) is on one wall and the fireplace/hearth is on the opposite wall. One of the other walls is a row of French doors out to the backyard and its opposite wall is open to the casual dining area. My goal is to be able to see both the TV and fireplace when seated in the room. Right now I have the room sorta divided -- sectional sofa facing the TV and two chairs in front of fireplace. HELP! What is the best furniture/arrangement for this room? Thanks!!! Robin

A: I agree with what has been suggested, having some photos will be helpful. A sectional is tough in this scenario if you want to view both the fireplace & TV. I would float a sofa either on the opening wall or French door wall and have 2 chairs facing the sofa.

**Q: Living room** *(in Design Dilemma)*

This is my family room. I'm not happy with the look. I think it's lacking something but can't put my finger on it. Any suggestions? Pillows perhaps?

A: I agree with the previous comments. Your existing coffees table is not to scale with you sofa/loveseat/chairs. I would add a large round or square coffee table for balance. For added contrast and color I would recommend a large round ottoman in a fabric to break up the leather. I would also suggest an area rug with a pattern to add texture and color. Hope that helps!

**Q: POLL: What is the floor in your living room?** *(in Polls)*

Flooring is often where you start when decorating a living room, and is often one of the hardest choices to make. What type of floor covering do you have in your living room?
VOTE and tell us about it in the comments!

A: I have hardwood. It's easy to clean, warm in tone, and durable!

**Q: Wood bathroom decor** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hi all. This is a very small bathroom in my new home. I'm looking for ideas to paint the white wall/decor to brighten this tiny bathroom. I am on a very minimal budget as a young first time homebuyer, but would love your advice. Eventually, I would love to put some sort of bowl sink in instead of this small camper looking sink. I also don't think I want to paint the wood as it's expensive and I like the rustic look of it. Could maybe paint the mirror? Colors/ideas/decor appreciated! Also can't afford to redo the floor but could change the rugs as they came with the house.

A: The wood on the wall is unique. If you are going to keep the wood it can make a great focal wall. I would suggest a larger mirror in a contrasting finish, maybe metal frame. The mirror can be the same width as the existing but 2 1/2 x the height of your existing mirror. Having a larger mirror will give the illusion that the room is larger. I would also suggest changing the hardware on your cabinets to compliment the new mirror and place just one small rug centered between the toilet and sink.

Good luck!
