I got Fred's connect via a referral from a friend when we were looking for a designer to help us with the landscape design for our new home. I reached out to him and he was very responsive and we met at the property which was still under construction at the time. I explained to him the initial plan we had and what we wanted to do and how we wanted to use the space. He shared pictures of the landscapes he had designed and asked me to send him some pictures of what we liked online and in a few weeks he came up with 2 designs for us to review. He sent us the virtual rendering of the 2 designs within a few weeks. Once we reviewed the designs we met with Fred again and picked elements that we liked from the 2 designs for the final design. He also spent 4-5 hours with us at a local nursery to help us pick all the plants for our space which was especially helpful since we didn't know much about plants. Next we spend a few days choosing the hardscape tiles and Fred was also very helpful with that selection process and he recommended stores to visit. By this time we had moved in and he came to our house and spent a good amount of time with us helping us narrowing down what will work with our home and the design. Once we had decided on the material we would use he made a final design and generated all the detailed plans that we would need for the city and HOA approvals. Fred also recommended a few contractors that he has worked with in the past and who he thought would be good to execute the design. He also helped us submit the plans for the HOA approval and later helped the contractor with the city approvals when the city needed additional information/documents. We are very happy with Fred, he is very knowledgeable and a great designer. He has a lot of experience and points out potential pitfalls and design elements that can become a problem either from an implementation point of view or from a city/HOA approval standpoint. He is a very nice person and super easy to work with. He listens to your ideas and concerns and addresses them in a very timely manner. I found his prices also very reasonable and he is just very good at what he does.
