Viceroy took our non-professional drawings/blueprints and turned them into a professional set of blueprints. It was very exciting! We started the project in December of 2009, our house delivered to us on four fully packed semi trucks. The construction process was completed in early May, 2010. There were several glitches that occurred, but none that required us to go back to Viceroy. Almost all were easily field remedied. The end product is amazing! We constantly get raves about it. From the beginning, through the entire construction process, the Viceroy team was very helpful, attentive and accommodating. We requested numerous design changes to the original plans, which Viceroy accommodated without complications. All of the materials provided in our package were of 1st rate quality, and the general contractor we hired to build our house was very impressed with the quality. Our 17 year old house, which is 3 stories high, on a sloping lot, has weathered 2 significant earthquakes with no structural damage. We've enjoyed many compliments on our house over the years, and are very pleased that we chose to purchase a Viceroy house for our retirement home. After building our house, upon our recommendation, 6 additional Viceroy homes have been built on our island, including the business office for the island's country club. My husband was President of the island's country club, and worked with the Viceroy team to convert residential plans into a commercial structure to provide a new business office and clubhouse. Subsequently, several more Viceroy houses have been built on our island. **★★★★★ — angieh48, May 2016** > We used Viceroy homes to build our custom home 9 years ago, and were very pleased with the quality of the materials that the company provided and the competitive price for these materials. The wood they use is top quality and they have exceptionally nice windows. They also provide Hardi siding with the building package, and will provide all the materials needed to complete the shell of the home. They do have some excellent designs for a variety of homes, but will do custom home designs. However, if you do a custom design, make sure that everyone understands the plans completely, as there could be some kinks to work out before the home goes into construction. Their customer service was excellent. We have been in our current home 8 years, and have been very pleased with how things have lasted. In fact, due to our positive experience, we are again using them to build another custom home, and once again the customer service has been excellent, and the price for the quality of materials is very competitive. Thus far, the only major challenge we have had is finding framers in our new area who are familiar with the panelized construction that Viceroy offers.
