> I recently ordered a transom from this company and I am very pleased with the results. I wanted to use a transom that would open and close to allow air flow to leave a room I built in my garage to an exterior hallway. It also helped radiate extra light into the hallway. They had excellent customer support on the phone to help narrow down exactly what I needed and how to property measure for size. The transom arrived very quickly. It was very well made and was ready for installation and paint.  Overall this was a great experience. I would highly recommend this company.

> I am replacing my sliding patio door with French doors and required a transom as the new doors are not as tall as the existing door, but I did not want to lose the light.  I tried looking at the traditional home improvement stores and couldn't find anything to suit my purpose and transom direct showed up on google.  I was skeptical at first to use this company because they didn't have much online presence or reviews, so I called and spoke with Dave.  I asked a dozen questions and finally decided to take the risk.  Sometimes you gamble and it pays off.  Dave worked with me through email and phone to make sure the custom transoms would work with my new doors.  The order was packaged extremely well and arrived ahead of schedule. A: This is a great example of how a contemporary-looking transom window can bring together old and new for a classic look!

**Q: What are the dimensions of the opening, the transient window and room** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: This appears to be a 10'6" opening.  The transom above is actually three transoms ganged together.  That would be (2) 2'-7" transoms and one 5'4" transom. This setup is identical to our Traditional model TR-3.  You can view it here: http://goo.gl/mEl1Vr.

Hope you dont me asking. what is the approximate cost of putting a window on top of the door? thank you for your time

A: Not too expensive.  The model shown here (similar to our Traditional TR-4) is not very expensive per se.  The one shown here is quite tall, unusually so really.  A more normal size would be 16" tall.  A 2'-8" wide version similar to the one above in 16" would be $80.  Adding a jamb with operable pivot hardware would bring the total to $230. A: The transoms are very similar to our Arts & Crafts model AC-8.  We can build the sidelites as well.  See the AC-8 here: http://goo.gl/o4gTJb

A: Wow, what a great bathroom design!  We also sell these windows (for cheaper than you can probably make them Charlie - check us out).  This is similar to our Traditional model TR-1 which is made to order in any size.  You can see it here: http://goo.gl/krtWmb.  I also want to complement you on how well you integrated the jamb into the overall design.  Very good.

**Q: What's ceiling height and height of door with transom to bath? Pretty** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: With a 10 foot ceiling you should be able to fit a 16" transom above a standard door like this if your rough opening is 103" or taller.
