Because Treeland captured my address incorrectly on the order by 1 digit my trees were not installed. The truck was out front of my house, all utilities lines were located, but they couldn’t install because a S was mistaken for a 5??? I took off work to get this done. I tried to give a tree to a friend as a house warming gift and Treeland made that process extremely difficult. I have purchased many trees from Treeland in the past but will not make this mistake again. **★ — W De, Sept. 2022** > Cracked a hose for a bubbler and a PVC pipe connection underground when they came to stake the new tree. Even after I showed them where the lines were when they arrived. They failed to test the sprinklers and the lines before leaving. When I called them to tell them that I had a big leak, they told me they were not liable. I told them that I showed the workers where thet hose and underground water pipes were, but they said they're still not liable. Unprofessional and shady! Needless to say, there are a lot of trees in our new subdivision needing to be replaced and I will not be referring them to any of our neighbors! They also packed a lot of the old clay and mud and dirt around the perimeter of the tree instead of taking it with them when I really needed to have organic compost and mulch there instead. Arborist came out and said the tree company was lazy and should have taken it with them. It just suffocates the tree. The tree company should have known better! Very very dissatisfied with their work! We had to pay for a separate sprinkler repair irrigation service company to come out and fix both issues. Cost an extra $200. A: Hi Paulina, thanks for your comment. Those are Eagleston Hollies. We only offer delivery to North Texas so I am not sure how well this tree does in Maryland. They do really well here in Texas but there have been some losses in the past Winter storms. We are zone 8b here. Oaks in on other side of fence and create at least half shade along the area of the yard. Area is lower than the yard and also wetter. Need privacy even with the fence. Also needing a shade tree for center of the lawn area which is full sun. Would like a tree that provides color during seasons more than 2 weeks as well as shade as this area is hot in summertime. Thank you Fauna A: Hi Fauna, Thank you for your comment. I will assume that you live in North Texas since that is where our nursery is. For privacy trees in areas that are wet, we unfortunately do not have any recommendations. For a shade tree in the backyard that provides Fall color, I would recommend the Brandywine maple. I cannot say how long it holds that Fall color. Chemicals in the leaves react to color weather and that will determine how strong the Fall color is. Are all three of the trees in this photo LIttle Gem? A: Thank you for your question. The one tree in the middle was previously there but it is a Little Gem Magnolia that has a single trunk. We planted the two flanking that one middle tree. - Denise **Q: Distance Apart** *(in Photo Questions)* How far apart (base) should each magnolia be from each other? A: Thanks for your comment. We most commonly plant magnolias about 6-7' trunk to trunk when installing them for privacy screens. In this picture I can see that they are almost planted at the exact spacing of the fence panel which is usually around 8' wide. My guess for this picture is that they are around 7.5-8' trunk to trunk. **Q: root damage?** *(in Photo Questions)* Can you tell me if the Eagleston Hollies pose any risk to damaging the pool? A: Hi KKPayton. We always encourage our customers to contact a foundation or pool expert to ease any concerns. We would not plant along the pool if we felt that it would damage the foundation. Also know that the Eagleston Hollies only grow to 20' Tall at maturity so the root structure is much smaller than that of an Oak tree for example. --- *Source: Houzz professional profile.
