I'm updating my bedroom -from traditional to contemporary. I've sold the bed and am now planning a more contemporary bed, a repaint, some new bedside tables and decorative accents. I thought I would start with the bed. I would like a low-ish headboard bed but don't know if it will be tall enough for the room, which is about 10ft in height, width of the room is around 15 ft, I think. There are big windows so the room gets a good amount of light. Also, I am thinking velvet for the headboard, but is that a good choice? And what colour? Look forward to your thoughts. Thanks. I was thinking a modern black leather sectional, paint the walls gray with the white trim I stead of the taupe now. Than do a blueish faded persian rug and some different shades of wood tables. Also big drapes for the window. Would this look good or could I get away with keeping the taupe paint with the white trim and if I did that what color of a couch and what color of an area rug should I get for the furniture ? As of now the only peice I have for sure that goes in the living room is a huge dark wood burl coffee table and a dark wood hall table to go along the back of the couch... Please help me!! Drapes, Fixtures, Decor....** *(in Design Dilemma)* We bought this beautiful set from BERMEX a few months back and absolutely love it. We've gotten lots of wonderful feedback about it which has been great. Now, I am looking to find a chandelier that will work with this room and draping options. The ceiling's are 9 feet tall. Here is the room with the furniture and also pictures of our family room with a few colorful pillows missing but non the less you get the idea of the style I like. All idea, pictures are welcome! I've been stumped with this dining room on what to get for almost a year now! It's time I get into gear and at least buy a chandelier and some drapery and a few decor items to help start the designing process!
