We served as our own contractor in this project. HC's excellent showroom and sample inventory, plus their rapid quoting system, helped us evolve from our original selection of Corian to our ultimate selection of Quartz material in a color and "style" that was perfect with our other aesthetic selections in the new kitchen (cabinets, glass tile backsplashes, flooring, paint, knobs & pulls, lighting...) We brought home many samples and HC generously allowed us to keep the sample of our final selected material through to the end of the project, which was extremely helpful in making the other decisions such as tile selection for the backsplashes. The material preparation and installation were timely in coordination with the other contractors. You can imagine the lock-step sequencing of contractors before and after the countertop installation, with limited windows of availability for each contractor and risk of weeks of delay if the kitchen wasn't ready for the next step to be done on schedule. The Humboldt Countertops team were spot on with their timely and perfect installation that included some objectively difficult elements. There was only one minor adjustment needed in the installation from these massive fabricated sections based on the paper masters and measurements by HC's specifications engineer. Our resulting countertops exceed our hopes and expectations. The fit and finish couldn't be better. All of the seams, pulled together and adhered with HC's own specialized equipment, are all but invisible and perfectly smooth, with no dimensional "step" from one side of the seam to the other. Throughout our process with Humboldt Countertops from the moment we walked in the showroom door to photos taken after the installation, we were treated with the utmost respect and appreciation, and we received the highest level of professional services. We had many changes and communications in our process with HC, to the point that I wondered if we weren't becoming a "problem customer". Well, if we were they certainly never showed the slightest frustration and every interaction became an opportunity for the HC team member to leave us feeling appreciated and with understandings confirmed.
