We have worked with a number of contractors before, and none of them can compare. Karen is everything that you would want in a contractor. She gave us regular updates on the process from the permits through final inspection. She was always available to text or chat if we had questions or concerns. She handled all issues and concerns as they arose so that we did not have to, which as a new mother with a baby, I truly appreciated. She helped us with design choices as well - once sitting with us for over an hour to choose tiles since we couldn’t decide :). She advocated for us, taking into consideration our budgetary concerns and also inspecting the work to make sure all the tiny details were taken care of. The entire team worked tirelessly to finish the project in the exact time frame that they had told us (they were even able to start early). The minute she walked into my kitchen she could envision just what I wanted. (I have a small 1949 kitchen, but couldn't afford to enlarge the house to enlarge the kitchen. I had to work with the space I had.) I needed the project finished by a certain date (since we were going on a vacation for Spring Break) and despite the original project being just the kitchen, they were able to add the bathroom remodel, flooring, earthquake retrofitting, rain gutters, AND painting (the last few jobs were their outside contractors - all prompt and wonderful) and finished them all by my deadline!
