In 1972 Aldo Benavides Sr. started his carpet installing business, Aldo Carpets, in Bayonne, NJ with a simple belief – to deliver quality service at reasonable prices without compromising his integrity. These values have represented the core mission for the company, and fueled its growth ever since. 
In 1992 Benavides Sr.'s three sons – Aldo Jr., Albert and Alex – joined the business, and have been instrumental in expanding the company throughout the northeast, taking on new product lines and growing its operations out of a 30,000 square feet design center and warehouse in Carteret, NJ.

In 2006, the company decided to change its name to Aldo Design Group to reflect the broad range of products and services it offers.
