> My wife and I decided to hire Macke Design after we purchased our home and needed to build a master bedroom/bathroom addition and mudroom entry for a new addition to our family...our (not yet born at the time) daughter, along with our 2 teenage kids. Tyler far exceeded our expectations! His clear and cut communication is something that impressed us, as most contractors we talked to during this process were so-so with getting back to us on time or clearly letting us know what the plan was. But Tyler never let up with keeping us informed. During the excavating and building, his crews were extremely professional, and many of them became like family to us. Although we really didn't realize they were there most of the time, which is great considering our then-newborn daughter (and our teenagers, too lol) were sleeping most of the time. Once everything was complete...WOW...we are SO impressed! My own personal thoughts and what I expected when it was finished was something that might feel like a cold plywood and concrete box (honestly, anyone I've talked to that built an addition said it can be tricky to have it feel like part of the house)...but Tyler built our addition with so much care and attention to detail, that it feels like a brand new house overall! We love it so much that we'd rather hang out in the addition than in the original structure of our house. The quality of work and materials is above and beyond what we expected. We can't say enough great things about Tyler and his company and the crews that worked on our home. We love coming home and relaxing with our family in the new space!

I initially called Tyler about a retaining wall I thought I needed but he suggested a fix that would cost much less, and was effective but did not involve hiring his company.  I really appreciated his honesty so I decided to ask him about the stonework near the drive and hired him after discussing his estimate with my husband. > I used Macke Design to re-do the ONLY bathroom in my 50+ year old house. Needless to say, once the walls were torn down all kinds of surprises popped up. Tyler took everything in stride and did an AMAZING job. From finding all the leaky pipes and replacing them to completely straightening out all the warped walls and floors. I never knew my tiny bathroom could look bigger and as beautiful as it does.
> Every day he and his crew completely cleaned the downstairs of dust and debris. Even on demolition day I came home and the only sign that he had ripped out my bathroom was the hole where it used to be. No trash or debris in the house or front yard, no destroyed walls or carpet. I am completely blown away at how clean they kept my house. Tyler helped me pick out tile and all the accessories (I couldn't figure out what would look good!) and suggested things that would make the bathroom truly pop. I couldn't be happier with my bathroom and no longer feel as though it is the one room dragging down my home. He did the job way quicker than I thought possible, which was extremely appreciated since this is my only bathroom.
