> As an architecture firm that designs high end custom homes, we rely upon Don Hooten at Hooten Land Design.  Creating a "sense of place" is an important aspect of our design philosophy and Don is adept at creating a landscape that does just that.  Don is a highly creative landscape architect, with an easy hand and great drawing ability.  With a special talent for hardscape, he weaves his plan with the architecture so the house and grounds work together seamlessly.  Don is a delight to work with and we have collaborated on countless projects over the past 15 years.

Is that a windmill in the foreground on the right or just an artistic piece?

A: It is a kinetic windmill that my client found. I am not sure of its source.

A: Thank you. This home is in coastal South Carolina and the groundcover, which is under Live Oaks, is Asiatic Jasmine.

**Q: Whats is growing in the middle around the tree** *(in Photo Questions)*

Will it grow tall, is it challenging to keep looking like this.

A: The groundcover around the tree is Asiatic Jasmine. This home is located in coastal South Carolina and there the Jasmine will fill in fairly quickly. It was planted as 4" pots about 18" on center to achieve a quick coverage. Over time it can grow over itself and build up in height, but it can be cut back and will recover soon.
