> We have been so pleased to work with Layne & Lauren at Framework over a number of years, both at our office building and at our home. They come up with inventive and clever ways to get the most out of our space with unusual materials. They devised inexpensive and unique ways to give our loft-style office space a cool vibe that wows everyone who comes to visit. They designed and fabricated sliding metal & glass doors for each office, old doors on metal wheeled bases for desks, and a cool pipe & wire design for a staircase bannister. They designed a very open and airy deck for our rooftop garden and play area under our solar panels. In our home they carved precious space out of old Jack and Jill bathrooms to make surprisingly large and open master and guest bathrooms with warm and cozy details. We feel very fortunate to have worked with Framework over a number of years. They pay close attention to the costs and deliver truly individualized attention to each project. We could not be happier.

**Q: Wood Type** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hello
What type of lumber is this ? I wonder if it’s possible to pay for the drawings you used for this scope.

A: Thank you for reaching out. Sorry for the delay, our page has not been super active lately. It was a cedar deck material and we would be happy to send you copies of basic drawings/ material suggestions that would suit your deck needs. **Q: I'm curious at to what product you used as the finish coat on the floor?  Thanks.** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Skimstone.  There is a little bit of a learning curve to getting a really good finish color/texture (if that is what you are going for).  The floor above was done first and the upper floor second and the result was much better with the color application.  More texture/variety.  Less solid color.  The topping can be a bit soft and is not through color.  If can be chipped if something is dropped on it.
