We were fortunate to be able to move out for the duration of the work which, despite COVID logistics issues, sped up the process. > We wanted a GC who was familiar with working in Hoboken and handling all that comes with that (permitting/inspections/lack of parking/working with condo management company). Communication and feedback with Marcello and Juan on project workflow were excellent. First, we basically lived in a construction zone for 5 months – which was our choice – however Juan and team did a good job of cleaning up every workday, storing materials, tools and boxes in a way that allowed us to move around and maintaining one working bathroom at all times; this allowed us to live in the place safely and with minimal dust. Also, throughout the project we asked our neighbors if they were at all disrupted by our renovation and to a person each neighbor said there was really minimal if any noise and that Juan and team were quite respectful while in the building. Wow! We really appreciated that our neighbors were not disrupted for basically 5 months of this major renovation. These rooms are below street and garden level, so the crew had to dig 14' out the back yard to create a patio, level with the rear kitchen doors, and build steps the length of the house, all finished in blue stone. Since we would be living in the house during our renovation, this was the part of the project we dreaded, expecting intense drilling noise and dirt. Somehow Juan and the crew kept the noise level and inconvenience to a minimum; and they delivered a beautiful outdoor living space.
