This especially rings true with me for wood. Trees are among the oldest inhabitants of this world. We would not be here without trees. So it is very important to me that when the living spirit of a tree ends, that I take great care in utilizing its form in a way that respectfully reflects and honors the life it provided us. I tend to spend a lot of time with each matched set of slabs listening to their voice to determine the most practical and beautiful way to create a table with a lasting impression. I liken people sitting around a table sharing a meal, creating plans, and gathering ideas, to a forest where the trees stand together contributing to each other for generations. VIMANA is a Seattle based design company that specializes in unique, contemporary, live edge slab and steel table designs that blend form and function with old world craftsmanship. Each piece is hand-built from carefully selected, locally salvaged woods. Each table is hand built in Ballard, WA where direct access to the tree salvage teams as well as other reclaimed materials from the Seattle area are paramount to the process of creating the finest pieces of functional art of the highest quality that exceeds expectation. However, over the next few months, the company failed to respond back to me regarding an actual completion date for the project or to finalize the details. After 2-3 months, I was able to get in touch with the owner who let me know that he was backlogged with projects but would issue me a refund. I have a custom built shower and have been very unlucky on finding something to clean it with! All I have is spots! A: Our family had a glass shower for many years. The trick is to use a small squeegee on the glass after each shower. Just before or after you dry yourself off. That really made the cleaning go a lot easier. **Q: What color(s) to paint my kitchen/living room** *(in Design Dilemma)* I have a high ceiling in my living room and it shares a wall with my kitchen. So nice. **Q: Tableless man needs dining table recommendations** *(in Design Dilemma)* I recently bought a loft apartment. Since the apartment isn't very large, a goal of mine was to make sure that most of the furniture was a statement/conversation piece. 2 months ago I bought a rustic table from online, but once it arrived I realized I didn't love it. Finally last week, I got a divorce from it and sold it to my upstairs neighbor. Now I have a lot of empty space and a lot of potential. I'm also willing to change the chandelier. My favorite piece in the apartment is the steel trunk coffee table (pictured below) so something that would make me feel the same way would be awesome. So please give me suggestions; the cooler the better. PS - I can fit up to 60 inches if it's rectangular, or 48 if it's round. A: I too am on a dreamy Lounge Chair hunt. It seems tough to have a modern cozy chair with out it being too cliche. I love the Eames chair but.... Still deciding. I just want to be comfy while I watch my giant reef tank.
