> We are enormously pleased with the wonderful Santa Fe Pueblo style custom home that PureBuild constructed for us. Tom and Jeff are very professional, very open to collaboration, and were exceptional at helping us realize our architectural vision and implementation preferences while adhering to the constraints of our budget. And we were constantly impressed with the quality of the relationships they have and maintain with their subcontractors and suppliers. The team's collective craftsmanship and resulting quality are outstanding.

> Thanks for your kind comments. Helping people to achieve their architectural vision is our mission and we feel fortunate to be able to collaborate with clients whose goals dovetail with our specialty - building elegant, sustainable homes. It was a pleasure working with you!

> PureBuild did an extensive remodel and addition of my current home. The project was completed on time and on budget in early 2013. Matching the existing architecture and materials of the home was a significant challenge...I am so pleased with the outcome as one cannot distinguish between what was the original home compared to the new addition. I would highly recommend every aspect of the PureBuild process from estimating the cost of the project to the completion of construction. The employees of PureBuild were trustworthy and respectful of the fact that we actually moved into the home before the completion of the addition/remodel. My PureBuild experience was outstanding.

> At Rick Joy Architects, we have worked with Pure Build on several rammed earth projects over the past years. They are producing impeccable quality, are highly knowledgeable and exploratory, a very reliable organization and just great people to hang out with. Jeff and Tom are the guys we recommend to everybody and we have even flown them to some of our remote construction sites to train our local contractors the art of ramming earthen walls.

> I am an architect in Tucson and have worked with Pure Build on two projects over the past 10 years. Pure build always delivers a great project! Quality construction, good craft, responsible, professional and respectful construction process. They are always helpful when you have a question. I would recommend Pure Build to anyone.

> The attention to detail was spectacular.
> My wife and I couldn't be happier with our finished project.
> We weren't exactly sure how to start the project and Pure Build walked us through from design to completion.
> I would highly recommend Pure Build for any projects you are considering.

> We are happy to recommend PureBuild following our two very successful building projects. Tom Wuelpern and Jeff Scheffman are total professionals and the crew and subs they put on site were great. We were impressed with their attentiveness and workmanship, from design, through estimating and planning, and to the final build process. We hope to work with them again on future projects.

> Pure Build built my home in Downtown Tucson in the Mercado District. Tom's attention to design, his amazing creativity, and his openness to suggestion created a fantastic building experience. I am very happy with the amazing quality and design of the home.
>
> Being in the real estate business and seeing the poor build quality of 99% of the new homes, including customs, shows that Pure Build is in a class of itself. If you want true quality, you have found the people to help you create a HOME, not just another box like everyone else.

**★★★★★ — User, April 2013**

> PureBuild has a great design and build team with extensive experience in energy efficiency and sustainable architecture. As a fabricator I've worked with both the design and build sides of their business and I've found the whole team to be approachable, pleasant, easy to communicate with, and efficient to work with. Whether in the city or the sticks, they produce quality work and very comforting living spaces.

  - Description: Paris-based architect David Telerman hired PureBuild to construct an architectural sculpture in the desert valley of Cochise County in southeastern Arizona. Working with master concrete company, Zona Decorative Concrete & Construction, LLC. we were able to bring this visionary work into the physical realm. - Description: In the mid 1980's Tom and a group of like-minded clients began developing urban parcels south of downtown Tucson. Inspired by the surrounding territorial style architecture of the historic neighborhood, these rammed earth and adobe homes blend traditional design features such as interior courtyards and zaguans with modern amenities and preferences, such as great rooms. Built out in the early 2000's, this street is among the most picturesque (and photographed!) in Tucson. The energy efficient wal…

## Community Q&A

**Q: Where can I find these barstools?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Looking for those barstools and have exhausted online searches. Can you direct to where I might find them?

A: Sorry, we are the general contractor who built the property. We don't have any information about the owners' furnishings.

**Q: Where are these mirrors from?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hi Pamela - I am sorry for the delay in responding - I somehow missed a notification about your question. We built this house 2006 so I don't have access to the job file to look up where these mirrors were purchased from. I suspect our clients provided them (they were hands on in selecting finish details). To me, they look like frames that are seen in shops in Nogales, Mexico. (The house is located about 1/2 from the Mexico border). So I would check Mexican Furniture Import shops. Good luck with your search! Best regard, Anne Helwig

**Q: Who has credits to this photo?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I am hoping to get permissions to use this photo in a presentation as an example of what materials a community could use for their community center. Are there any restrictions of photo use?

A: Per our agreement with the photographer, third party use must be agreed to by the photographer. His contact info is liam@liamphoto.com. Thank you!

**Q: Walls and fireplace** *(in Photo Questions)*

What are the walls and fireplace material?

A: The walls are plastered rammed earth. The fireplace was built from concrete block and firebrick. Thanks for your interest!
