Paul Brant Williger has over 30 years of Custom Residential Architecture experience, is a graduate of Columbia University's Graduate School of Architecture, and is on the Board of Directors of the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art (ICAA).

Before graduating from Columbia University, he received an undergraduate degree in Architecture from the University of Illinois and Champaign-Urbana gave him the opportunity to study architecture in Versailles, France. It was while he worked for Robert AM Stern, a professor of his, during and after his studies at Columbia University, where Paul was introduced to traditional residential architecture. Upon arriving in California six years later, he became the lead on several projects he completed with other firms.

Until 2013, Paul was a Principal at Appleton & Associates for well over a decade, running his own projects out of that office. Eventually, it made sense to start his own firm and bring over his clients, and in 2013 was successful in doing so. Starting with a half dozen of major custom residential projects located in Woodside, Laguna Beach, and Beverly Hills, he has since expanded and taken on additional projects in Los Angeles, Montecito, and Malibu.

### Reviews

**★★★★★ — Robert Stein, Sept. 2020**

> Paul, is an exceptional and talented Architect. His ideas and design are clean, concise and classy. He understands budgets, and is each to work with. He has great tasted! We had a terrific experience with Paul in our last house in Santa Monica and look forward to working with him again on our next house.

**★★★★★ — Terry Adamson, Sept. 2020**

> Paul Brant Williger built a gorgeous home for me that was just featured as the cover photo and and featured story with 12 full page photos in Luxe Interior design Magazine.
>
> Paul is not only a brilliant and talented architect, he is also wonderful to work with and he is personable and a true pleasure to work with.

**★★★★★ — David Brett, Sept. 2020**

> Paul,
>
> Congratulations on your Luxe Magazine 2020 National Red Award for Best Traditional/Classic Architecture for the design of our Spanish Colonial home in Woodside, Ca.
>
> I have told you this privately but this award gives me the opportunity to tell the world.
> As a real estate developer, I have had the opportunity to work with hundreds of very talented and competent design professionals through out my career. You are, hands down, the best architect I have ever had the pleasure of working with. The depth and breadth of your knowledge of architectural style is unmatched. Your mastery of space and proportion is deliberately understated and very close to perfection. Everything you produced for me exceeded my expectations.
>
> One of the best things you did was to bring in Interior Designer - Madeline Stuart. This collaboration is what put this house over the top. Your architectural mastery and Madeline’s amazing talent for making rooms magically perfect without making them look “designed” is what raised this house to the stature of World Class Architecture and Design.
>
> I pinch myself every morning when I wake up in this beautiful home!
>
> Bravo!

> Owner of award winning Paul Brant Williger designed Spanish Colonial home in Woodside, Ca.

**★★★★★ — Mega Builders, Aug. 2016**

> Paul's projects all demonstrate certain outstanding qualities: flawless aesthetics, design coherence and flow, attention to details and a uniqueness of style.
> Paul approaches each and every project as show-piece work and that is readily reflected in the final product. Stated simply, Paul's projects are simply picture perfect.
> Regardless of the style of home considered, Paul should be on your very short list of the best possible architects for it.

**★★★★★ — Platner & Co., Jan. 2015**

> Paul Williger is an industry leader. His expertise and throughness is exceptional! When asked to provide a budget and timeline he did so with accuracy and dilligence. We highly reccomend Paul for any upcoming projects. Looking forward to working with him in the future!

**★★★★★ — pedro1988, Sept. 2014**

> Paul Williger was a great help to our family when we remodeled our home in Malibu. He ran the project from start to finish, and was on site weekly through the construction. His energy, thoughtfulness and attention to the project details was very professional. He was involved in coordinating every aspect of the project, including the extensive re-landscaping of the oceanside portion of the property, from the house to the beach.
>
> It has been about 10 years since this project was completed. We have kept in touch and Paul’s ideas continue to be a great resource for us. He will do well with his own practice now and we wish him the very best.

**★★★★★ — tonyontheweb, Sept. 2014**

> Paul and I collaborated on a presentation for a project earlier this year that, at first glance, seemed overwhelming. Paul systematically broke down every aspect of the project, asked all the right questions and impressed not only me but the potential client as well. I have no doubt the presentation would not have got as smoothly with a less experienced architect. Thank you Paul!

**★★★★★ — Jovani Dunker, Sept. 2014**

> I have had the privilege of working with Paul Williger on an international project. Paul is first and foremost an incredible person. He is very approachable, simple and humble, with an abundance of positive energy to spare.
>
> He is extremely professional and serious about architecture and his designs.
>
> Paul has the sensibility of approaching his architectural designs holistically, from leveraging the projects' surrounding elements and accentuating them in his design, while creating literal picture frames from the inside to the outside.
>
> His design also respects the surrounding neighborhood. He would not over-design and draft a mansion on a street that will tower over the other homes. That said Paul believes there should be unity in neighborhood's design, not conformity.
>
> He is not satisfied until every viewpoint, every angle has been framed and addressed in his design and approved by his clients.
>
> Paul Williger's architectural designs and projects are prize-winning and magazine-worthy and continue to amaze and inspire me.

**★★★★★ — Richard Holz, Inc., Sept. 2014**

> Paul Williger is terrific. Our company has built two homes with Paul. He has a great sense of style and deep historical background. He is always straightforward and no drama. His team collaborated well with the consultants and interior design, delivered the goods as promised. A true pleasure to work with.

**★★★★★ — SOLI Architectural Surfaces, Sept. 2014**

> With an unparalleled attention to detail and commitment to excellence, Paul is one of our favorite architects. His appreciation for both classicism and modernism are reflected throughout his diverse project portfolio. We are honored to include him as a valued member of our client list.

**★★★★★ — cyrusbarcus, Sept. 2014**

> Paul and his firm are very easy to work with and has great design ideas. I would recommend him on future projects.

**★★★★★ — Tyler Development Corporation, Sept. 2014**

> Working with Paul Williger is truly an enjoyable experience. His work speaks for itself, but the intangibles and details that Paul brings to the table on his projects is unparalleled. We always look forward to working with Paul and hope to do so again in the near future!
